Saturday Treasures

The last couple of weeks I have had some good luck at estate sales and last Saturday at the flea market.

Isn't this a beautiful piece of embroidery?  It will make a gorgeous pillow.

This is a brooch I found.  It is so cute.  The little locket at the bottom opens up to put a picture in.

YEA!!  More butter pats.  I shutter to think how many I actually have.  I know - I just won't count them and then I won't feel so bad. I won't actually know how many I have.  LOL

Some cream colored pieces.

A nice silver tray and two vintage tablecloths.

Enjoy!

  1. Butter pats! I know I have seen some of these in the thrift stores but I didn't know what they were. Now I really want to find some! I guess I thought they were little saucers. Great finds my friend. Happy New year!

    1. Thanks Diane! I don't even know what got me started on butter pats but for some reason, when I see them, I just have to have them. At least they are small and don't take up a lot of room. LOL

  2. I never see butter pats at a good price but you seem to find them often. Of course now I'm downsizing and decluttering so no buying for awhile!

    1. I don't buy them unless they are at a good price. Usually, if there is a bunch like this, I ask them what they will take for the whole lot. Sometimes it's a good deal and sometimes it's not.

  3. You do have good luck, Judy, when you go thrifting. Don't bother counting those butter pats- what you don't know can't bother you. lol I have a few that belonged to John's grandmother. She always used them for holding her used tea bags...lol....so I always assumed that is what they were for until I saw an article on them years ago. Live and learn.

Happiest of New Years to you, Judy. xo Diana

  6. At least your beautiful butter pats are small and do not take up much room. I guess with everyone purging in January it is a good time to pick up some goodies.

  8. More great finds! I have that exact same piece of embroidery. It came in a set of three, one for each arm and also a head rest. Great minds think alike ;-)

    1. Hi Deb! I haven't been out much since the new year either. We probably won't have many garage sales now that cooler weather has moved in. But, there will still be lots of estate sales and the Saturday flea market.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

    1. Thanks! I am blessed to have a huge workroom in my new home which houses most of my goodies! I use all of the vintage fabrics and laces to make pillows for my Etsy shop. I keep buying dishes saying that I am going to start selling them on Etsy but can't seem to let go of them. LOL

      Thanks for visiting.
