We did another day
trip in July. This time to Oklahoma City to the Jurassic Quest. It was in a huge parking lot and you drove thru. Each dino had a plaque with its name, how to pronounce it and its history.
You can see by the size of the cars how big the dinos were.
Kaycee "drove" us thru the exhibit. She was sitting on Tiff's lap and we were sitting more than driving. It was hard getting all five of the little ones in a position where they could see.
The dinosaurs were very realistic looking.
I lost a very dear friend in July. This is Miss Linda as the girls call her. She was in a nursing home, her health was not good and her little body was just worn out. She was 93 and was a victim of the CoVid.
She had been my friend for 50 years. She was a fantastic painter and she loved red. So, I had to make her flowers with red and white polka dot trim. I talked to her several times a day. They had been confined to their rooms since mid March and it was so hard on her. But, we could talk and talk and talk on the phone. I will really miss her. The virus took her in a matter of a few days.
My yard has just gone bananas! We have had a solid week of rain and more rain. This is my little weeping dogwood tree that I planted when I moved here.
My back fence full of Morning Glories. I didn't get out to take photos early enough for you to see the gorgeous array of flowers on the fence.
The girls and I have been redoing and cleaning out their playroom. I had a bed in there but took it out because they needed the room. LOL We took the doors off of the double closets so they would have better access to their "stuff".
This is their dress up closet. The cabinet in there holds their American Girl doll clothes and accessories.
This is their little kitchen area. The opposite wall has their AG dollhouse and their Barbie dollhouse. They love to play.
I have been going thru and sorting boxes of stuff that were in my storage building that was broken into. A large part of the items had gotten wet and ruined so they just had to be thrown away. Sad. But, I found this picture I had done for my Mom. I didn't paint the little girl picture, but did the flowers on the surrounding mat. Mother had several of this artist's figurines and loved them so.
Sweet memories.
Enjoy!
Judy
Hello sweet friend. The dino's looked like a fun drive through. I bet the girls just loved having something to do. Sorry about your friend losing her life especially to Covid. I hope you have lots of good memories to remember her. Love seeing your beautiful flowers. It is hard to believe it is August already. Happy New Week. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteHi Kris. I do have good memories and lots of them. Have a good week. Hope your Mom's doctor visit goes good this week. Still praying for her and you.
DeleteA GREAT SPELL CASTER (DR. EMU) THAT HELP ME BRING BACK MY EX GIRLFRIEND.
DeleteAm so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.

We have a park like that near us, but you have to walk through it. Still the dinosaurs are life size and so incredibly big. So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I am glad she did not suffer long from Covid, that would have been horrendous. Sending you a hug.
ReplyDeletehi Meredith. Sorry to read about your ants! Awful! Little Buddy goes thru some rough times, doesn't he? Bless his heart and yours too for all of the love you give him.
DeleteHi Judy, I am so sorry about your dear friend. I am so glad you got to talk on the phone with her. Oh what fun the dinos had to be for the little ones. Please stay safe. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie. The dinos were a good outing for the kids. Since Kaycee has a lung disease they have been quarantined since March. So we try to figure out something for them for an outing at least once a month. Stay safe and well.
DeleteSo sorry to read of your friend, a very sad time for you. Your painting of the little girl with flowers surround is pretty and I love the way you have made that area into such a good playroom, with dressing up clothes and cooker.
ReplyDeleteThanks Betty. The girls love to play by the hours in there. Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteLove reading your blog and keeping up with your life. So happy for you to spend time with the grands. What a treasure. So sad for you to lose your friend. hugs my friend. Margy in KY
ReplyDeleteThanks Margy. Yes, the girls keep me busy and I love it. We've all quarantined and they (and me) don't go out so we can see each other. Stay safe and well.
DeleteGlad you have so much fun with the girls. Great memories you are making!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. This virus is terrible. Wearing masks is a must!
I have never seen so many morning glories in one spot - that's amazing!
It looks like the girls have wonderful play areas. We took the closet doors off the boy's closet doors when they were young, too. It was just much easier for them to get in there without a door in the way.
That's terrible that your storage unit got broken into. I love the flowers on the mat in the artwork that you salvaged. You're very talented!
yes, the sliding doors were just a nuisance! The morning glories are miniature. Tiny. Stay safe and well.
DeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteLooks as if the Grand Girls are keeping G'Ma busy!
I am saddened to hear of the passing of your friend.
Stay safe!
Pat
thanks Pat. The girls and I have lots of fun at either my home or theirs. We rarely go anywhere.
DeleteI am SO sorry to hear that your friend passed away:( SO many in Nursing homes aren't getting to see their families and that is sad. I know that your daily chats helped her feel connected to the outside world. Praying for you as you mourn this loss of your friend. I have also been cleaning out and getting rid of things that I don't need. It feels good to clear some cluttered areas in my house. Enjoy your day dear friend, SORRY I am so late reading this! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThat dino visit looks like fun, the dinosaurs look gigantic and lifelike. That is sad your friend of so many years passed away. The flowers you painted on the picture mat make the presentation very pretty.

"Undeniably imagine that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be at the net the easiest factor to take note of. I say to you, I definitely get irked at the same time as people consider issues that they just do not recognize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and also defined out the entire thing with no need side effect, other people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thank you 오피 "
