My Real Treasures

One of my latest treasures is this beautiful cruet set I purchased recently at an Estate Sale.  The larger one is my latest treasure.

It measures 18" tall and has six glass pieces.  Each one of the pieces has gorgeous glass etching on them.

Three of the six pieces have Sterling Silver lids.

Look at the handle - isn't it beautiful?

The whole piece is Sterling and is so heavy!

It is SOOOO pretty.

I also have a smaller one that I loved - until I found this larger one.

This is a close up of the smaller one.

Hope you enjoy these.  I have told my granddaughters that this is one thing that they must keep if something ever happens to me.

It is one of my dear treasures.

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  17. Great post...My husband is a true antique shopper. He has two of these and they are simply gorgeous. I was shocked to see how expensive these can be. Some of the ones we have found have been priced as high as $600.00 ! Big shock to me. Ours certainly did not cost that much!!
    Great finds!!

  20. Wow, Judy! What a wonderful find. It's rare to find them with sterling lids as most of them were silver plate so that is a real find! Congrats! :-)

I can definitely see why you told your family that this piece is a keeper!

    XO,

  24. Good Morning Judy, What a beautiful cruet set.... I adore it.
I remember as a child, my grandmother, Ivy, always had a silver cruet set on the table, very similar to your smaller one. We were taught never to put salt over our food, but to put a tiny amount on the side of our plate in case we needed to use it.
It was lovely to see such a lovely cruet set as nowadays we all use large salt and pepper grinders.
Judy, I have enjoyed my visit and I have become a new follower.
I would like to invite you to visit me at Ivy, Phyllis and Me! when you have the time. It would be lovely to see you there.
    Best Wishes to you,
    Daphne
