A Little Planting in a Porch Swing

I found this little porch swing at a garage sale for $1.25.  I know that it was intended to be a bird feeder - it has mesh in the bottom of it.  And I will probably eventually fill it with bird seed, but for now, it's a little spring garden.

I put some moss in the bottom of it.  And speaking of moss, I bought the biggest ole bag of beautiful green moss at Garden Ridge for $5.99.  I used it on my Clay Flower Pot Wreath and this and still have tons of it left.  So, if you have a Garden Ridge nearby, get yourself some of it.

I put a little arbor covered in climbing roses on one side.  On the other, I put several tiny clay flower pots, a little seed bin and the cutest pair of yellow Welties you've ever seen!!

So, enjoy my little porch swing!!

The Lion King was fantastic!!  Even John was impressed by the animals and the presentation.  If you ever get a chance to see it in your city, I highly recommend it!

Till next time, Judy

  8. Judy I don't blame you for snatching the little swing up! It's adorable! I love your you decorated it. Next time Lion King comes to Detroit, I'll have to go see it. An hour away, but that's where the big theater is.

  18. I have one of those little feeders too! I tried to hang it with bird food and the squirrels pulled it right out of the tree! So it's inside now. What a perfect use for it! Thanks!
