Oh, the difference two coats of primer and a top coat of white paint can make.
The white paint is gorgeous and makes the porch seem so much bigger. The ceiling will be painted a very pale blue. The painting will be all finished up by Friday evening.
Tomorrow, the Travertine tile goes in the hall bath and the backsplash will be grouted and the wood floor laid in the kitchen.
Then, they will be finished. It started four weeks ago. I can hardly believe it's almost done. But, I am glad it is almost done! LOL
Now, my hard work begins. I have to cover cushions, paint some trim, etc. - all of those little finishing items that will make it pretty.
Here is the teaser. These are the fabrics I am using on the porch for cushions, etc. It will be so bright and cheerful! Can't wait. The rose fabric is vintage tablecloths I purchased on Etsy.
Enjoy!
Judy

You may have mentioned where you bought them but I've been out of town and I'm way behind on my reading, would love to find one like these! Enjoy your beautiful new spaces!
ReplyDeleteWish I was nearby to sew with you. It is all coming together. Happy for you.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it all spiffed up and decorated!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is gorgeous! When I bought my first house alone, I had a screen door put in because I remembered the sound of the screen door at my Grandmother's house when we would run outside to play. I wanted my grandchildren to have the same experience. I also painted my covered patio ceiling blue and I painted clouds on it. Today I wouldn't be able to even get on the ladder and the doggie door keeps me from having a screen door-lol. Think how much fun the kids will have on that porch I can't wait to see your new renovations! Love that you are going to have a wood floor in the kitchen! Can't wait to see your pillows and cushions! XO
