Today was my precious Landen's birthday. He would have been twelve years old. I just can't imagine!
For you who are new to my blog, this is my great grandson whom we lost to cancer at the age of four years old.
One of the many times he was losing his hair, he decided he wanted a Mohawk. So, we sit him up on the bathroom sink and cut him a Mohawk. He thought it was so cool.
Then, he decided Poppy needed one also. So, we loaded Pop's hair up with gel and Landen combed it into a kinda Mohawk.
He loved Superman and Batman and was seen many times roaming the halls with a cape on.
He loved tacos! The sweet people at Taco Bueno said anytime he wanted one, just call and they would have them ready for him - even at eight o'clock in the morning.
This precious little one was such an inspiration to so many in the fifteen months he fought this horrible disease. Never complained about anything.
What a blessing this little angel was to us!
Happy Birthday Landen!
JuJu

ReplyDeleteOMG! It breaks my heart to know that he passed away so young and full of life! Cancer is a HORRIBLE disease that needs to be eradicated from this planet asap! It takes too many good people every day. He was a precious boy. Happy 12th birthday to him in heaven.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you right now sweet Judy. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear of this. I can't imagine. Sending a hug to you. TK
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little guy. I can only imagine the heartbreak and it is wonderful that there is no doubt you have many wonderful memories of him to live on forever in your heart. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh, Judy. I am so sad to hear about the short journey you had with Landon. It sounds like he was such a special little boy and fun to be around. I had my son until he was in his 30's, so got to enjoy him much longer, but it never is easy no matter how long the time is. My son would be 52 this year. Take care and hugs, Judy
ReplyDeleteoh my,,,, so sad,, I am so sorry for your loss, he was such a cutie and the look of mischief in his eye,, so precious,
ReplyDeleteSo sad to loose a child to cancer. I just was talking to a friend about how little ones with cancer are so brave. What an angel.
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad that Landen was taken at such a tender age. It is quite obvious he was a very special little guy and was lucky to have you for his JuJu.
ReplyDeleteSmile, he looking down on you.
Isn't hard to believe that Landen would be 12 years old already? Life is so not fair sometimes. Children should not get cancer and be taken from us. What a sweet, precious child. God bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy. Thank you for sharing your photos and memories of Landen. His sweetness shows through in every image. Children really are so brave in the face of illnesses. I've seen it time and again. We have so much to learn from them. God bless you. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Landen in heaven. I just know that he is smiling down on you.
