Fall in Oklahoma

It definitely is Fall in Oklahoma.  Today we started out with 75 degrees.  A front is moving in as I write with the temps dropping fast and chances of bad storms and possibly tornadoes this evening.

ONLY IN OKLAHOMA!!!!

I basically do the same Fall decor every year.  Here's a peek.....

It is so hard to imagine that the twins - Laycee and Kaycee are turning six this month.  Seems like only yesterday they were so tiny.

I have been swamped during something I thought I would never do again.  I'm doing a craft show the first weekend of November.  Am going to sell alot of my items I had on my Etsy.  Shipping has gotten so out of sight that it is almost impractical to try to ship items now  a days.  The shipping is almost as much as the item I am selling.

So, will let you know how that goes.

Have a happy Fall!

Enjoy!

Judy

  1. It's good to see you here again. The girls are so pretty in the little white wicker chairs. I can't believe they are 6 years old already. Time really flies.

I used to make Santas and sell them on Etsy. They were varying sizes, so boxing up so they wouldn't be broken in shipping was very time consuming and the bubble wrap that I had to use a lot of was expensive. Then came my trips to the post office and the wait in the line and usually there was one surly clerk that worked there, every time I would pray that I wouldn't have to deal with her, but sure enough when my ticket number came up, it was her that I ended up getting. (Not all Postal Workers are surly my husband worked at the post office for about 40 years). It was the shipping that just made it too much to deal with for me.

I hope your items sell like hotcakes at the craft fair.

  8. Judy, I love all your pretty autumn decorations. I especially like the little Acorn Storage truck. Is that an heirloom or did you buy it somewhere. I would love to have one. I've always loved acorns. Stay safe in the upcoming weather. Sandra

  10. So nice to hear from you Judy! Your Fall decorations are just lovely. I especially love the Jim Shore pumpkin! I have lots of Jim Shore for Christmas and Thanksgiving, but now I need that pumpkin! I don't put out much for Fall as Christmas comes so fast on its heels that I hate putting up stuff, putting it away, then digging out more for Christmas. I just do as much as I used to. I wish you much luck at your Craft Fair. PLEASE let us know how it goes. I haven't done one for several years and the last one I did (in summer) was a bust. I think Fall and Christmas craft fairs are much better to participate in. We have one here every Nov. or Dec. at our fairgrounds, and I keep wondering if I should have a table, but that's all I do, is wonder! They are so time consumming! Best of luck.. Marilyn

  11. It's always good to see a post from you, Judy! Your fall decor is all so pretty. I wish you lots of luck at the craft show. I agree that shipping costs are outrageous. Last month I mailed a small package (a very small box) with just a few small things in it and the shipping alone was about $12. Can't believe the twins are six years old already!
