Saturday Treasures

So, I'm a little late on posting my treasures from last Friday at Estate Sales and Garage Sales.  Also, a few sales I hit on Saturday.

I found two of the wooden spoon holders which I used to hold my vintage hankerchiefs .

If you are interested in one, I will be putting them on my Etsy shop.  Contact me if you are interested.

There was also some beautiful pieces of china - a serving bowl and a gravy pitcher, four dainty little trays with a pink ceramic rose......

a china pink wooden shoe, a small white pitcher, a little bottle with an interesting blue pattern ceramic lid, a china ????? with strawberries and look at the two little Peanut characters.

Don't know what the yellowish - green goblet is.

Got two really pretty vintage mirrors, a silver brush with engraved initials, a German stein, an old tin sifter and look at that gorgeous lamp shade.  Love the shape.

I believe these are knife rests - still in the original box.

Look at this wonderful vintage metal bread box with the lid!!

Love this darling little bottle!  I'm pretty sure it's silver.  It's only about 3" tall.  Does anyone know what it is???

And last, but not least, these two vintage pieces of china.  Yes, they both have chips, but I will figure out something to do creative with them.

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  5. Pretty sure one of my grandma's had a enamelware box like yours. They called it a vegetable crisper. Perhaps for back in the days before seperated drawers in the refrigerator??? Of course, it could be used for many things!

  8. Just guessing, but I think that the wonderful little bottle is probably a perfume bottle for an evening purse. You had some pretty amazing success. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  9. The bread box is fantastic! I wish I were more of a vintage person. Now...how do you find so many estate sales...do you have to travel far? I live in a neighborhood where there are a lot of homes that go up for sale after the elderly owners have passed, but it's just not very frequently. We do have a lot of garage/yard sales now with the warm weather and I love to spend a Friday morning doing that. We'll see what this summer brings!

  14. I think the yellow-green goblet is Depression Glass. And the little bottle with the silver cover might be a smelling salts holder to use when women used to swoon!

  20. My mother had a graniteware pan like this one, but with black trim, & it was used as a roaster in the oven. I have 2 red & white ones like yours in 2 sizes. I wish I had hers. I think she threw it out when it developed holes from decades of use. :( Mary
