A Two Year Old's Necessity

I'm sure most of you know that when a two year old, prissy little girl has to do EVERYTHING herself, she definitely needs a stool to assist her.

So, today, I took the day and painted Laynee a stool so she can brush her teeth, etc. all by herself.

I got a little wooden stool at Michael's for $14.99 (naturally I used my 40% off coupon).  The wood was a little rough, but I sanded it where it was.  Then I painted the top in a soft aqua blue, the sides in a teal color and the braces in lime green.

I then free handed a little owl on a branch that I had seen somewhere - sorry, but I don't know where - and painted it with her name.

She'll love it!

Now, she can get to lots of things she couldn't and probably lots of things she shouldn't.

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  5. That is just darling, Judy! And yes, she will love it - and use it to reach the sink - and also to get into all sorts of mischief. LOL We have a little stool here and every small child who visits ends up carrying it here and there to reach things they want. :-)

  16. So cute! I found a step stool at the thrift store that I'm using for our visiting 2 year old, but it needs to be painted. You've given me inspiration to get painting! She'd love the owl design you painted. :)
