Do you remember "I Dream of Jeannie"?
The sitcom starring Barbara Eden as a 2,000 year old genie and Larry Hagman (Captain Tony Nelson) as an astronaut who becomes her master.
They eventually marry. The show aired from September 1965 to May 1970 running 5 seasons.
Do you ever wonder if you found a genie lamp what you would do with it? Suppose you found one and rubbed it and a genie appeared - what three wishes would you wish for? Would you wish for riches, health, peace or a ride on a magic carpet?
Incidentally, Captain Nelson's first wish was for her to speak English!!
Think about it.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteHi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds cliche but I would want everyone to have peace and no more violence in the world. Then I would want enough money to help my family out and a sweet little cottage some place pretty and very peaceful with no WINTERS!!!!! Have a great day.

Hi Judy,

Sorry I guess I liked my wishes so much I left them twice here!!!! LOL!! Not sure why this happened sorry for the double comment.

So- If Kris posted three times does that mean she gets her wishes?
ReplyDeleteIf I were a beauty queen I would wish for world peace, a cure for whatever is incurable and happiness for everyone.
However, being ME- I would wish that all my children and grandchildren would live long and happy lives and have good health. I would also wish for enough money that I would be able to help anyone that was honest and needed help- the elderly and those that have had a hard life through no fault of their own.
AND, last, I would wish they would find cures for all types of cancer and dementia in all its many forms.
Amen!
A question that requires a lot more thought than it might first appear! xx
ReplyDeleteGood health for me and my family
ReplyDeleteEnough Money to live well (not rich)
Peace
1000 more wishes.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were little some of this was funny. But if I would see it now I would probably not have the patience to watch it. If I had a wish it would be for good health and to be able to walk and run as much as I wanted. I have arthritis in my ankles and feet. it's rough at times. If I had to wish for others...I would wish for everyone to be kind. lol. xoxo,Susie

I used to love that programme - was it all that time ago! I think I would wish that we could have heaven on earth, right now!
ReplyDeleteI was little when that program was on TV, but I do remember it. I'd wish for Phil to be alive (1) and to be drug and alcohol free (2) and for peace and unity throughout my extended family that is all torn apart for various reasons (3). PS - am sending you a private email in a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that my children, grands and family would all know and serve the Lord with their whole hearts! It's my greatest desire and the legacy I hope to leave! Blessings, Cindy
