OH MY GOSH!!!!!!
This morning at a garage sale, I found this McCoy teapot for $4.00!!!! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I don't know if there was a lid or not but it didn't really matter. It was just such a pretty piece to add to my collection. And it was the real "McCoy"!!
Then, I went on the the Tulsa Flea Market. Found lots of goodies.
I got a huge plastic container (with the doily on top) full of old sewing items, wooden strawberry baskets, a Zip Lock bag full of wine corks, two lamps, a vintage piece of Easter fabric, two darling Singer sewing machine books, and two darling cream colored vases.
So, now I'm off to go "do my thing" with the two lamps I purchased. I am really having a problem because the Tulsa Flea Market will not be open again until the Saturday after Thanksgiving!! What am I to do? Guess I'll just have to go to Canton to First Monday Trade days and hope for lots of good garage and estate sales.
Till next time, Judy
Very sweet tea-pot. I would have scooped it up, too. Deb
ReplyDeleteI'd say that is a very nice haul you got there. Flea/Trade markets are so much fun. I need to get out more and do just that.

Awesome finds! Love those old Singer manuals, can't wait to see what you do with the lamps - the tea pot is amazing! Hope you can find somewhere to shop between now and Thanksgiving, that's a long time for us thrifting girls to go without a shopping experience ;) Mary
ReplyDeleteI have that teapot too plus the cream and sugar. Good shopping - especially the Singer manuals (ok I love old Singers).

ReplyDeleteTreasures, Judy has treasures....
What a find, my Dad, and Uncles, used to collect McCoy like crazy.
I must ask him if he had this teapot.

That's a lovely little teapot. Would like nice with a little ivy plant tucked inside. Have a wonderful week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat teapot is the best, Judy! And I'll bet that plastic tub of sewing notions is going to have a lot of wonderful finds inside. The little vases are adorable and will look so pretty with just a small single bloom inside. Thanks for sharing such wonderful 'favorite things'!
