Part 1 of My Canton Treasures

OK, here we go.  This is Part 1 of my Canton treasures!!  Yes, there is more, but that will be another post.

As you can see, I made quite a haul.  I got lace, ribbon, metal trays, spools, silverware, bingo cards, an oval frame, a purse, a bag of wooden cut outs, a silver holder for a dish, etc.

I have quite a set of these dishes - Rose Point - and found four small bowls and immediately filled them with corks .

You see, Brenda of Cozy Little House www.cozylittlehouse.com and I are known as Lucy and Ethel. Don't ask questions, you really don't want to know why.  But, I'm Lucy and she's Ethel.  When one of us does something not so brilliant, the other says, "well, Lucy, what do you think about that?".  So, when I saw this purse, I had to have it.  I will carry it tomorrow when we go to the Doctors.

These are darling little "flags" made to look like the old vintage hankerchiefs.  I got enough to spell out North Ora and two extras.  They didn't have numbers, so I've got to figure out a way to take the two extra ones and insert 2 and 0 in the centers.  Then, I'll make me a cute little banner that says 20 North Ora.

Look at this precious little set - it has the small square that it all sits on, the next piece is the sugar bowl with little extensions on each side that hold the salt and pepper shakers and then the top is the little creamer.  It does not have a chip or any flaws on it.  Isn't it cute?

Of course, I had to have this Diet Coke bottle - it's like aluminum or some metal.  The little pink table will be cute for displays. Notice the cute little teapot on top of it and some more salt shakers.

The other picture is an assortment of red crinkled seam binding, bingo cards, spools, etc.

So, this is the first section - there is more to come.  I'm almost ashamed to say I have more (NO, NOT REALLY). But, watch for Part 2.

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  2. Well Lucy, you did make quite the haul. Most people would need a semi, but you manage in your little car to cram just about everything under the sun in.
