Today, I want to share with you a fantastic new book on the market - Pretty Patchwork Gifts by Helen Philipps.
I have followed Helen's blog helenphilipps.blogspot.co.uk since I started blogging. She is a wonderful, accomplished seamstress who uses the brightest and most cheerful colors you can imagine.
I have her other book "Simple Sewn Gifts" which has provided many gifts for various friends.
Her book is full of the the most precious items that you will want to make.
These are her "Sugar Bunnies"
"Home Sweet Home Hanger"
"Birdhouse Bunting"
This is my version of the "Birdhouse Bunting" made in cherry print fabric.
These are my "Stuffed Houses".
Look how cute they are in a white gravy bowl.
I know you will love this book. You may purchase it on Amazon.com. I can't wait to make everything in her book. She is a very talented seamstress.
I have received no compensation for this post. Helen has graciously given me permission to make and sell a few of her items. So, watch on Etsy.
But, I know you'll want to get this wonderful book and make them all yourself.
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy

Hello Judy Thank you so much for this lovely book review! Your makes are gorgeous...I love the cherry fabric you used for the birdhouse bunting, and the little houses in your choice of fabrics are so cute. It is always fascinating to me to see how people use my patterns in their own way, and you have made some lovely things.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words about my book :)

ReplyDeleteI love all these cute ideas. I wish I could sew like some of you wonderful bloggers that can. I envy all of you that can make these cute little treasures. I love those bunnies. Adorable.

Everything is so cute. Makes me want to get sewing. J
ReplyDeleteLOVE this darling book! I want it! Love the stuffed houses... I just have a thing for "houses" and home.... your blog, Judy, always reminds me of my stuff and things I love.. and the things you get at the flea markets always remind me of my own mom and the things she loved. I've been a quilter for years but am tending to do smaller things now as they get done faster and the gratification is much quicker!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this book with us.
