Neighborhood Walk on a Nice Day

Bella, John and I  went for an afternoon walk today.  It was a nice day for a walk - not too hot and not too cool.
The trees are beginning to bud out slowly.
These flowerbeds have beautiful phlox already.....
forsythia blooming.......
the Bradford Pear trees are so pretty ........
don't know what these are, but they are such a pretty color, I think they are Japonica??
There are still so many remnants of the ice storm two years ago and the intense heat of the last two summers.
Encountered some neighborhood dogs.  Bella just struts by like she is saying "ha, ha, I'm out for a walk and you are stuck inside that fence".
I finally got a bird photo - don't know what kind it is and don't care.  It's a bird pic Brenda!
The Vinca is blooming and the greenery is so green and shiny.
This was in a neighbor's flower bed.  Don't know if they've been practicing and are just getting ready for Easter!
At this point, Bella said "I'm tired and wanta go home".
So, we did!
Till next time, Judy

  1. I enjoyed my 'walk' with you, Judy, and that bird photo is impressive, looks like one of Brenda's! xo

  2. So pretty. It looks like spring is in the same stage as ours.

That bird is a Starling. Nice shot. Birds are so hard. Don't you just want to say "Stay!"

  3. That peach colored flower that you did not know is Quince. I have some and it has great winter color but also one inch thorns. I have an awful time getting birds pics too. I sit on the deck and when I zoom up on them they fly away.

  4. What a wonderful walk Judy!! such pretties to see everywhere you look!! Love all the pictures.

  5. Thanks for sharing your neighborhood walk with us. Spring has really sprung in your neck of the woods. Cheers!

  6. Thanks for the walk through the neighborhood. I loved seeing the flowers. xoxo,Susie

  7. Lucky you:) We still have snow coming down:(

  8. I don't get it. We are further south than you but it looks like you are ahead with the blooming plants. Maybe because you get more rain? I'm so excited about your quilt. You be sure and call me if you have questions! What pattern did you get? I wish I lived close so I could come and play! Love your pictures...you are getting really good!

    Cheery wave!

  9. You are so lucky that spring is in bloom by you already. There is nothing like that here yet - only some little green buds (lilies) sticking out of the ground. In fact, it was only in the 20's today; same for tomorrow. And snow flurries. Please, please send some of that beautiful spring weather to Illinois!

  10. Hi Judy, I enjoyed my evening walk with you. I have been a little busy today with staying with my daughter and then going to the nursing home to see my hubby. My Magnolia was starting to get buds, but with going back to the really cold weather, it will probably not bloom. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  11. Every year I say I'm going to plant forsythia and I never do. Maybe this is my year?! Y'all seem to be ahead of us on the plants!

  12. I am so jealous, Judy. We got 6 more inches of snow last night and there is drift right up to the top of our garage door in the back...and you have blooms...sigh....yep - I am jealous- xo Diana

  13. What a lovely walk and that is a great bird pic~ I know Brenda is so good at those and I'm not! Bella is a sweetie! Hugs, Linda

  14. Judy I'm jealous! It's so cold here, snow today and more on the way. Your walk was beautiful. I'll just have to live vicariously through you!

  15. What a lovely walk, filled with the beauty of blooming shrubs and trees. I think you are right about that reddish shrub... Japonica, sometimes called Flowering Quince.

  16. Thanks for taking us on your walk! So pretty, nothing is blooming here yet, I can hardly wait. Thanks for stopping by, Laura

  17. You did indeed get yourself a bird pic, Judy! But my favorite photo is the first one. I really like that one.

  18. What a pretty walk. Your neck of the woods is blooming a bit earlier than mine, and I love being reminded of what's to come. (The red bush is flowering quince and one of my favorite first bloomers.) You've inspired me to take my camera on a walk soon, too! Have a great week.

  19. Lovely walk and lovely photos, Judy! The plants are really blooming where you are! Loved the one of Bella at the end...very cute:)

  20. Judy
Enjoyed walking along with you. Thanks for the lovely walk

  21. Thanks for taking us on your walk. Things are looking great in your neighborhood. I thought we were ready for Spring, but temps are dropping below freezing tonight. Hopefully, this will be the last freeze. I'm ready to plant my containers. Have a great weekend,

  22. I am dying for some flowers in the garden.
