Bella gave up on the nest with the Mourning Doves and has a new obsession.
Last week with all of the rain and bad weather, we took the lumber we had purchased to work on the storage building and stacked it up. We then covered it with a tarp, boards and an old washtub to keep the tarp from blowing away.
Well.......
We apparently have had a bunch of precious little baby rabbits born and they have taken up residence under the wood in the crevices and spaces.
Bella has chased them around the yard a few times and they always run under this tarp.
So, this is where Bella spends all of her time.
When you call her, all she does is wag her tail. She has been spending hours out there at night and anytime she goes out, that's straight where she goes.
Did you notice the perfect black circle on her rear end?
Isn't she precious?
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
How funny! Isn't it good that she is so easy to entertain?:-)
ReplyDeleteWe have a small cottontail rabbit living in our flower garden that Shelley tries to catch. It keeps them busy doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteShe really is beautiful, Judy! I love how fascinated she is by the bunnies. My little Layla would not be so kind! :(
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how much Bella and Lili look alike. Same black spots on there back - all the little black freckles. How old is Bella? Lili loves lizards and chases them all over the garden. Will sit thee for hours. We don't have any rabbits so therefore the lizard's.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

If the pupsters caught a baby rabbit, I'm scared to death they'd tear it apart just fighting over it. Bella looks so funny. At least you know where to find her!

Bella is so cute. You set up that rabbit maternity ward just in time, Judy! xo
ReplyDeleteToo funny. I bet she thinks of them the minute you let her out.xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteDoes Bella search for moles? We can keep her entertained for hours
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute! Love the black circle.
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable! I watched Charlie chase some little squirrels last summer, never worrying because he never even got close. Well, one day he brought one in the house...
ReplyDeleteand it was still alive...
I called the Wildlife Rescue and they told me to put it in a box with a lid and bring it down. It didn't make it though. Just beware, she may catch one for you.

Bella is adorable! My kitties love to watch the bunny rabbit in our yard. They have to watch from the screened porch though!

Hi Judy, Bella has definitely found new entertainment. She would love chasing the rabbits in my yard. I wonder where they are hiding tonight in the storms. It is raining hard and could have some more severe weather. We are to have rain the next three days. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet little dog, looks like she is having the time of her life...also love the knife project in the post preceding...so cool...I am now your newest follower, I will be back again to see what your up to..
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny! My mother's dog does the same thing with a chipmunk that has taken up residence under her front porch.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is so funny. Isn't it amazing how focused they can be on one thing? What a fun post- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteJudy, Bella is precious. She looks like a keeper to me. Have a Blessed day, Trisha
ReplyDeleteThose pups really make their own entertainment. Once they get fixed on something like this, there is no distracting them. I know Miss Bella is surly taking care of you and John when she isn't babysitting her rabbits. Hugs, Gina
ReplyDeleteI love all of Bella's spots but that black circle is sweet! Our Jack Russell would be right there with her. I have to bring her inside to give the squirrels and chipmunks time to scamper around and eat. They become so focused that our commands to come don't even enter her brain.
ReplyDeleteBella is a very pretty dog . . . dogs can become such special members of the family . . . She's enjoying her doggy life :)
ReplyDeleteShe is sweet as can be. That is so funny that she is watching those rabbits so closely!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pup! Hope she doesn't get the baby bunnies though. :-(
ReplyDeleteGreat vintage finds! Plus I luv your sweet puppy. Xoxo
