Today is a dark and cloudy and rainy day in Oklahoma. We had quite a thunderstorm last night and into the early morning. Lots of thunder and lightning and rain.
So, I decided it was too humid to paint so I would make a new fairy garden that I had been wanting to put together.
I had this big old pot that was cracked. So, I took a hammer and hammered out the side of it. I put rocks in the bottom, added potting soil and started adding herbs. I used three different kinds of thyme. I purchased them a Lowes because they were small.
I then set a smaller pot inside and filled with soil. I put another small plant in the smaller pot along with a little garden cart with a flat of flowers and two flower pots on top of it.
I took the shards of the broken pot and made little steps going up the side. I'm sure you've seen similar gardens done on blogs and Pinterest. Now, I have my own.
The plants kinda wilted a little but hopefully they'll perk up with some water and sun.
Oh, and by the way - where the big pot had cracks going thru it, I covered the cracks with hot glue. Don't know if you're suppose to do that, but, it worked for me.
My Weeping Cherry tree had to be pruned. Remember it had some dead branches from the horrid winter and the last two 100+ summers. But, she has leafed out and has a really pretty shape now.
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
PS: Thanks for all of the sweet comments on my post yesterday about my precious Landen.
