Ain't It The Truth????

I just made this pillow for my Etsy and thought to myself - "Self, ain't it the truth?"

"Unlike swimsuits...Flip Flops fit year after year!!"

Unfortunately, I can't wear flip flops.  They hurt my feet terrible!  I constantly call them Thongs which just unnerves my granddaughters to no end, but, that's what we called them when I was younger.

There are not too many things I wore as a younger lady that I could possible wear now.  I guess that's just part of the aging process - at least for me, it seems.

Another one of my favorite sayings is:

"I know you are going to be jealous, but I can still wear the same earrings that I wore in high school."

So........... I have a warped sense of humor!

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  9. Hi Judy, You know what generation we belong to when we call them thongs. I don't wear them because they hurt my feet. I would much sooner just go bare foot. I love your pillows and I will say prayers that the treatments go well. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  12. I LIVE in flip flops. Regular shoes hurt my feet and I only put on my trainers for tennis, cycling and walking. I have all my shoes from working days and haven't worn a single pair since school was out in June.

  15. I love my flip-flops/thongs.

But, I think the earrings that I wore back in the 60s were clip-ons. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was in my thirties. "Chicken" I guess.

I love your pillow. Sure does tell the truth.

I've received a lot of compliments on the pillow that I purchased from you last year for Christmas..
It's the one with red pom-poms around the edge and a quilted type front in red, green and white. Love it !

    Thinking about you and John.

  17. You crack me up!
My mom always said that it's okay to talk to yourself, as long as you don't answer yourself... Now she's older, she tells me that it's also okay to answer "self"... LOL...
    LOVE that pillow!
And you call them thongs? That cracks me up as well! When I think thong I think that string part of the underwear that gives you a wedge!
    Have a great week!

  18. I am "only" 50 (cough, cough)...OK, so I'll be 51 on Saturday but I can still say I'm 50...but there's a lot of footwear I can't wear already. Any shoe that does not have any cushioning on the inside - forget it. Kills my feet. The only reason I can't wear flip flops is because of the thing between the toes. Can't wear any sandals with that "thing". The sensation drives me through the roof! And it's too bad, because most women's sandals are made like that, especially the really cute ones.
