Saturday Treasures 8-3-2013

It was so nice to get to go to the Tulsa Flea Market this weekend.  I hadn't been in about 5-6 weeks due to my Alaskan trip and then the hospital visits John and I made.  But, it was so much fun to roam up and down the aisles and look for goodies!!

I found a large assortment of vintage hankerchiefs, doilies and vintage jewelry.

I also found this cute little metal tin box that will be cute in the kitchen (if I ever get finished with remodeling).

I absolutely fell in love with these large carved wooden pieces.  They are so unusual and I plan to hang them together as a wall treatment.

You can see that they are quite thick and hefty!

This one has some damage to it, but just look at all of the detail on them!

I also found this set of six salt cellars with this dainty little floral pattern on them.

It really felt like things were kinda getting back to normal!

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  5. Judy- What great pieces. I do believe that those heavy wooden things were the crown piece on the top of a high backed bed. The bed I had as a child had a piece like the one with damage on it. I love that tin box, too- xo Diana

  8. Hi Judy! I never heard of salt cellars, I have some little dishes that are about 4 or so inches across. How do I know if these are salt cellars?

  9. I know what you mean. I went to the mall on Thursday and put in stock and worked in my booths for an hour and it felt so good to do something that used to be part of my weekly routine. First time I've been over alone since February. Took my mind off myself which is always a good thing, even for awhile.

  12. If you ever visit the Chicago area, Judy ~ me, you, and my mom are going treasure hunting together! Like you, me and my mom sure enjoy our hunts. I am so glad you had the chance to get out and enjoy yourself again. I love that red metal box that will be perfect in your kitchen and the wood pieces are gorgeous. I'm wondering if they came from an elaborate headboard?
