Fall Front Porch

I decided to go ahead and take down my summer decor from the front porch and go to Fall.  I think it is quickly approaching - even tho it has and will be near 100 degrees all of this week.  But the days are getting shorter and the evenings are getting cooler

On the front porch (which is completely covered) I made a swag of burlap and silk leaves wired on a heavy jute rope.

The burlap leaves are from HL and the silk ones from Michaels.

I added a pumpkin basket full of fall foilage and my new little yellow vintage truck filled with pumpkins and various fall crops.  This little truck is not old but a reproduction.  Don't you just love her?

On the front wall between the door and the garage I made a new wreath with beautiful yellow sunflowers.  I added a wooden heart that I covered with a piece of patchwork that was all done in Crazy Quilt embroidery.

Brenda gave me this piece of fabric and thought I could do something with it.  She gives and throws away a lot of really good stuff!!  If she's not using it, she gets rid of it  That's why her house is always so spotless!!

I added a simple burlap bow and called it quits.

So, now I need to put some new pillows on the little bench, fill the old wagon full of fall flowers and I'll be done.

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  20. JUDY, JUDY, JUDY!!! You make me yearn for Fall..
The outside Fall decorations you have are absolutely fantastic and very detailed. More is better; by that I mean, your curb look is cute but your up-close look is priceless, where one can see, for instance, not just a colorful heart but an embroidered-antique-quilt-scrap-covered heart and that the swag of Fall leaves also has burlap leaves added, the little truck is full of miniture pumpkin produce and on and on. Thank you for getting me stirred up to start my Fall decorating!

  31. I really like your fall decorations. The old truck with pumpkins is so cute. My Dad used to collect and restore old trucks. I guess that's why it caught my eye.
