My Halloween decorating is usually a very small part of my outside décor. I definitely don't like anything scary, so there are two things Laynee likes - the song Itsy Bitsy Spider and a funny witch that is on a spring that she can pull up and down on.
So, that's my Halloween décor.
I'm sure you've seen this darling pillow on Pinterest. I just had to make her one to put on the bench on the front porch besides her pumpkin chair.
And this is the witch on the spring.
I have been really occupied this week.
First!!
John finished the last of his 45 cancer treatments on Thursday!! YEA!!
Second!!
Laynee's mom went into the hospital on Monday with her twins. Seeing as how she still has 2 1/2 months to go, they are trying to keep her from going into hard labor. So please remember Brittany and those twin girls in your prayers.
Laynee has been here playing a lot and it's amazing how I can get nothing done with a two year old here. Course, I like to sit in the floor and play with her or be outside with her. So, it's kinda my own fault. LOL
Here she is after her bath last night sitting in bed with Bella intently watching cartoons and eating an apple. She really likes apples - can you tell?
Thank everyone so much for all of your prayers during John's treatments. It's been a long haul, but it's over and now we just wait on the treatments and the Lord to start working on that awful cancer. We don't go back for six weeks and we are anticipating complete recovery by then. We are so blessed by all the friends and prayers going up for John. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
So good to hear John is done with his treatments but it looks like you still have your hands full, how do you even find the time to make a pillow? I don't decorate for Halloween either, but I would reconsider after seeing your darling saying on the pillow.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that John's treatments are finished. That was a LONG 45 treatments time. Deep breaths, whew. You will both welcome the time to NOT be going to the treatments and the time to recover and the return of energy.
ReplyDeleteAnd then you have sweet Laynee. Precious, lots of time and love and fun (but not easy to get any work done, I know). Prayers for Brittany and the twin girls as they wait out their birthing time.
I don't know how you found the time to make and send me such a wonderful Memory Pillow but I want you to know that you touched my heart with your kindness.
I am sending you and John love and healing and happiness thoughts.

Your decorations are so cute...I keep my porch understated as well.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the end of treatments, I remember how happy I was to be finished with mine (Not even close to 45, wow!).
I am putting your sweet hubby John on my prayer list...God is so good.
Have a wonderful weekend. xo
I have added Laynee, her mother and the unborn twins to my list as well. xo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to John on finishing his treatments. He must feel like he's run a marathon. I wish him a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear John's treatments are over, still praying for him (and you) daily. Your decorations are wonderful, love the pillow. xo

ReplyDeleteLaynee is so very precious! I don't blame you, I would play in the floor and outside too! What fun she must be!
Oh yeah, loved the pillow! That is super cute!
WOW, 45 treatments is A LOT! Happy that they are over.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely keeping your daughter and husband in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour grand is a doll - a 2 yr. old can wear you out in a hurry! :-D
I like your Halloween decor! I am not into the gory stuff, and don't put anything Halloween out unless know the Grands are coming.
Have a great weekend!
First and foremost - I'm so glad to hear that John is done with his cancer treatments (45 of them - wow! I can't even imagine) and that he's doing well and now has a break. "Funny" that I should read this post tonight - I was thinking of you guys earlier and was wondering how John was doing. Secondly, I will be praying for Laynee's mom now, too. I hope she doesn't go into labor too early. Two-year olds sure have a lot of energy, don't they? Lastly, I love that spider pillow you made. So darling!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear your husband is done with his treatments!!! What a relief! Love the pillow! And your granddaughter is adorable! I will keep her Mama in my prayers, along with the babies!

I'm happy to hear John's treatments are over and he can now rest and think of other things as he gains his strength back...Your porch looks adorable, I love your springy witch! xo
ReplyDeleteOh Judy you have so much on your plate. I am happy your hubby is done with treatment but now worry over the babies. I pray they stay in a while longer.
ReplyDeleteLove that pillow, Judy! How did you get the wording on there? Glad to hear your husband is done with his treatments. Laynee is so cute! My granddaughter is 3. I'm usually sorry the next day when I've been down on the floor with her. : ) Apparently, my back doesn't like it.
ReplyDeleteI am glad John's treatment is completed, and now he can focus on feeling better. Laynee is so sweet, it must be so much fun having her around. I wish her mom and the twins well.
ReplyDeleteYour Hallowe'en decorations are lovely, I like that pillow a lot.
Yay for John....Time to heal...Love that pillow and your witch..Hope you are having a wonderful weekend..
ReplyDeleteWonderful news. Spend all the time with that little sweetie that you can. The rest will wait. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI am a new friend but want to say how happy I am for you and John! Will add my prayers to the others as he heals and recovers. Also will pray for your daughter and her twins. My daughter has quadruplets and was in the hospital for 52 days before they were born. Then the babies were in the NICU for 2 months. Prayers made all the difference in the world and I am honored to be a part of the prayer chain for these precious little girls.
ReplyDeleteJudy I am so glad to hear that John's treatments are over! Yay and continued prayers for his healing. I will also add prayers for the sweet babies to hang on a little longer. Oh I do know how hard it is to get anything done with a two year old around...but it's also so much fun!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
So very happy for you and John that that long treatment period is over! Looking forward to the results when you all go back in 6 weeks and you hear he is cancer- free. Prayers really do work! Now Brittany and her twin girls are on my list! God will take care of them.
ReplyDeleteYour little granddaughter, Laynee, is such a cutie! I must tell you that my 17-month-old granddaughter, Sophia, looks like Laynee's twin.I will have to send you a pic of her soon. And, yes, they keep you very busy when you babysit one that age.
I have been praying for your husband. I wish I would have read this before so I could have prayed for the babies and their Mama but I will now.
ReplyDeleteI love that witch.
Your grandbaby is so cute. Love how the doggie is waiting to see if she drops anything.
So glad that your hubby's chemo is over. Such a relief I am sure. Now only good things ahead.
