Grateful and Thankful

At this special time of the year, I think we all think about the things that we are grateful for.  Our families pop into our minds first.  I am so thankful for my husband John.  We have had a rough year due to his cancer diagnosis.  But, the Lord is good and we breezed thru the 45 treatments. And now we are facing some other very major obstacles with his health.  But we know that God is in control and we will make it thru this series of crisis.

Then there is our precious Laynee who brings me so much joy and pleasure. I really didn't understand how I could love another child that much after we lost Landen.  But, you know what?  God's timing was perfect and she is the delight of our lives.

Next, we have twin great granddaughters who arrived two and a half months early.  They are both doing just great and we hope to have them home by Christmas.

I am thankful for my son.  He is my one and only and I thank the Lord for giving me him.  Next are the grandchildren - four girls and one boy.  They bring a lot of energy and love to our lives.

I have two sisters who are so close.  We have a very special bond and try so hard to do anything we can to make each other's life as pleasant as possible.  We have always been so close and I am so grateful to have them as sisters.
Their families are also very special to us.  We are just a close knit family.

And to my blogging friends - -

You could have never convinced me that I could have such dear and precious friends without even meeting them (even tho I did get to meet Paula in Alaska).  But I am so thankful for each of my readers and followers.  I consider it a real honor and privilege that you read my blog

I felt your prayers when I ask you to pray for John and his health and was just in awe at how many of you did.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  19. Judy, If we look hard enough there is always something to be thankful for in our lives. When we lost our son, like you I thought there would be nothing else, but our Grandson Jake is such a blessing, and although nothing can ever completely take our son's place there is always room in our hearts to share more love. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one..Judy
