Here is our Little Miss Riding Hood Laynee after an evening of Trick or Treating! She was worn out and sit down in the floor the minute she walked into our house! Excuse the lady like manner in which she is sitting! She did not want her picture taken. Her favorite treat were pretzels.
We have been having the pleasure of having her here at our house more than usual since the twins arrive - giving Mommy and Daddy more time at the hospital.
Isn't she precious? I admit I am 100% prejudiced and proud of it. After losing Landen, I just didn't think my heart could ever love another baby like him and thankfully, now I have three that just win me over and have their "Poppy" wrapped around their little finger.
Even if I haven't gotten to hold and rock the new twins yet, I know it will be the same as with Laynee. Precious, precious, precious!
She will sit and play for hours with the most unusual things - today was with a plastic container of plastic toothpicks!!
She would shake them all out thru that little tiny hole and then carefully put them back in that tiny little hole one at a time and count as she did it. Now, she does real good up to about six but then the numbers kinda jump around.
She shared everything with Bella. But, this day was different. I had gotten individually wrapped popcorn balls and she wasn't about to share. She held the sack up in front of her face like she assumed if Bella couldn't see it, she wouldn't want it. Didn't work!!
Next, we started trying to learn to do a YoYo! Have you ever tried to teach a two year old how to do a YoYo?
She got the string all twisted around her finger and was not a happy camper!
But, she finally got the hang of it.
It is such a special and memorable time to spend hours with a little one like this. You just never know what they will remember as a precious memory of their own.
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
So cute! Enjoy her now - they grow up way to fast. I would never attempt to teach a 2 yr. old to yoyo. I don't do a very good job of it myself, plus lack of patience. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is very sweet and how blessed you are! My Grand is 10 years old and doesn't "need" here Grandma so much any more!

She is precious and you are very fortunate to have her in your life. I believe that what children learn before we might believe they can remember anything is when their values are truly developed. Perhaps she is learning patience today. Enjoy!

It's funny what consumes their attention sometimes, Judy! She is adorable and I know you are enjoying her. I think I laugh more when my 3 year old granddaughter is around.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet age. She's so cute! I think it's cute that she sits and concentrates on what she's playing with so long. That's a good sign. That shows her brain is figuring things out!
