A Day At The Zoo and Eating Ice Cream!

Now, I ask you - isn't this the perfect way to go to the zoo?  We were all ready - sunglasses, map and a big sack of popcorn riding along in the stroller!

What a fun day!  Taking a 2 (almost 3) year old to spend the day at the zoo is so much fun.  I can hardly wait until the twins are old enough to go, although, I really don't know how I will be able to handle three at one time.

The highlight of the day was at the flamingo display.  We got to see an egg hatch and a baby flamingo born.  Laynee's only comment was "that's an ugly baby, but it's sweet".

And what's a more perfect way to end a day than to go to Braum's and have ice cream?  Poppy really enjoyed his also.

It was a perfect day for all three of us!

Enjoy!

Judy

  7. Judy, what an exciting day at the zoo, and little Laynee's interesting observation made it a memorable day, I'm sure. That ice cream looks pretty good, right about now; it's 86ºF as I type!

  21. Sounds like a great day, Judy! I went with my daughter and granddaughter to see Beauty and The Beast at the theatre yesterday. We are so lucky to be close to Dayton even if just for that reason. It was my granddaughter's first show. She slept for almost all of the first half while sitting on my lap! : ) I think she would have found the zoo more interesting!
