This darling magazine rack was given to me by one of my dearest friends - Linda. She was moving from her home to a Retirement apartment and had to downsize. She ask me if there was something special I wanted that she wasn't taking and this is what I chose.
Now, let me tell you about Linda. I refer to her as my "second Mother". She has always been like a mother to me and is one of the most precious ladies I know. She is a night owl like me and so often we talk late into the night about the everyday events in our life. Oh, by the way, recently it has been all of this rain!
This magazine rack was painted by Chris Chance who was a local artist living in Miami, OK. She had a booth at War Eagle Arts and Craft show and I tried so hard to get pieces of hers each year. But, sometimes, they were already all gone - her painted items sold out immediately.
Anyway, this little magazine rack has a vintage washboard for the middle.
Beautiful roses are painted on each end.
Her painting is just magnificent. The detail is unbelievable. She paints the old fashion children so pretty.
Elaine - if you see this, I'm sorry to tempt you. Maybe I can will it to you!!
Enjoy this wonderful piece from one of my most precious friends.
I love you Linda.
