Projects I'm Working On

We are down to the little finishing touches on all of the remodel.  Things like switch plates, doors rehung, shower rod up, etc.

So I decided I would start on a couple of projects I needed to work on.  The first is a hutch I got at an Estate Sale several years ago.  It's been sitting in the garage just waiting for it's time to get here.  And now the time is here to redo it.  I plan on putting it in the kitchen when I get it cleaned up and repainted.  I really didn't want to have to repaint but it's pretty scratched up.

Next is this darling vintage metal baby bed.  I am going to put a big puffy mattress on it and make a loveseat out of it.  This is what I am planning on using the vintage red rose tablecloths on.

This is the end of the baby bed.  I bought this when I was doing an arts and craft show and used it to fill with all of my pillows.

I went to Lowe's to order my indoor/outdoor rug for the porch and found these huge begonia plants on clearance for $8.00.  They fit perfectly in my big red pots on each side of the steps.

The wooden floors are all done in the kitchen.

Love them!

The backsplash is all grouted in the kitchen.  The new kitchen appliances will be installed Tuesday.

The Travertine tile is all done in the bathroom.

This is the light fixture in the hall bath.  I don't have the mirror up yet.  It is going to be a large round vintage mirror I have had for a while.

The weather was half way nice on Saturday and I got to go to the Flea Market and a few Estate Sales.  I really found some neat things.  Will share them with you later in the week.

So, now I'm on to stripping wallpaper in the kitchen, refinishing the hutch and get ready to start sewing.

Enjoy!

Judy

I love the hutch, we have one from my husband's family that is over 100 years old that we are going to refinish. It will be a major project, and I too can't wait to see the finished product. 26. Judy, that hutch is going to be darling repainted. And, oh my; that crib is to die for! The vintage tablecloth will be so darn cute!! Everything is looking lovely. The floor is beautiful. It's so nice to have new and pretty again. I called someone today to see about having all of my doors and trim painted white. They were tan when we bought the home. Everything looked bran new so I couldn't justify repainting. After having lived here for 6 years; I am ready!
    hugs,
    Jann
