My red bed is done and it is gorgeous (even if I do say so myself). It turned out exactly as I wanted it to and now I cannot wait to start working on the bed and curtain decor.
I highly recommend Plaster Paint - this is Old Red.
Lowe's also installed my wood 2" blinds this week.
The new box springs and mattress arrived for the guest room.
I repositioned my desk where I wanted it.
Bella is adapting well to the change. Her favorite place (when she is not in the back yard with her new friends) is right in the middle of the living room floor.
I have movers coming this weekend to move some of the larger pieces including the green huge piece in the guest room that really belongs in the master bedroom.
So, I am making progress. It's really nice not having a deadline.
Enjoy!
Judy

ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I really like your red bed. I'm sure with your talent the bedding and curtains will be just grand! I'm also admiring that darling three-tier stand sitting beside Bella in the living room. I'm interested to see how you use it when your move is complete!
ReplyDeleteRed is my favorite color and I cannot wait to see that bedroom all done!!
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteI just spent a good 20-30 mins catching up. With school last semester, I didn't realize how many different blogs I've missed reading! Anyway, I read all the way back to November 2...!!! I think I'm officially caught up. I rad about you purchasing your new house and how God worked it all out for you and your granddaughter to be close and even the contractor is purchasing her house. Sounds perfect and wonderful. I can't believe it's been a year (now 14 mos) since your sweet hubby passed. I know it has been rough -- he would be so proud of you and all you've accomplished. I can't imagine going through such a thing.
I love the idea on getting rid of the curly trim! Great job! Will you be doing that in he other rooms too?
Oh and your bed looks great! Love the wood floors.
Bella is a faithful companion--- I love how she sneaks into photo opportunities 😏 She's not a camera ham much ,huh?
This is the best way to move after being in your home for so many years. It gives you time to take your time and sort through things (and reminisce too) and keep what is precious and gently donate other things to people who will enjoy it. Moving on a deadline is the pits! You're doing wonders with the house and I love that deep color of "brick red". I'm sure Bella is happy wherever she is, as long as her loving master/friend is right there with her!
ReplyDeleteGood for you putting those paint brushes to work
ReplyDeleteBella is a happy girl as long as she is near you?
I have some furniture pieces I want to paint also but with out any sunlight I can't get to it. I just can't function on a cloudy dreary days
Looks like your moving right along on getting the new house fixed just like you want it
O, I am so so loving your beautiful red bed. I can't wait to see what you dress her in.
ReplyDeleteGlad things are moving along so well...I, too, love working on things when there is no deadline or stressful time table. I am so happy you are loving your new home.
Wow, Judy, you're really moving along in your new house! I love the soft painted finish on your bed and the blinds you installed on your windows. I'm glad you've got movers to help you with the big pieces of furniture. Bella looks like she's settled in quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Well done Judy, this is so exciting.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
What a deal you got on that bed for just $100, love the red color. Bella is such a cutie, love that "look" she's giving us.
ReplyDeleteThings are coming along nicely at your new place, Judy. Love the color of your bed. It's warm and so pretty. Yes, Lowe's is good with installing blinds. They did ours also when we moved into our smaller home.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful Sunday, dear. Catch up on some rest. I'm sure you have lots more work to do. :)
~Sheri
How exciting! It's so fun to get set-up in a new home. Your dog is probably doing her best to just stay out of the way. ha!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The red bed is gorgeous!! Can't wait to see the room reveal. Glad bella is feeling at home!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Moving is a hard thing to do. Actually my teammate from paperwriting.xyz moves to a new place, too. We all help him and though we do help there are so much things to do. Exhausting thing.
ReplyDeleteLove the red bed! Moving takes so much energy and you're doing a great job!! Relax and put your feet up, you deserve it!! Your Bella is so precious!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jody
