Surprise!!

Do you remember last Spring when I bought home this tiny two foot plant that was suppose to be a Morning Glory tree?

Well......it has grown up and up and up - almost ten feet tall but no flowers.  I staked it but it got so tall, it fell over on the ground and just kept growing.

This week, it bloomed.

They are a little different from a regular Morning Glory.

They curl up and unfold just like regular Morning Glories.

But the shape is a little different.

My tiny Morning Glories are growing like crazy.

Just to show you how small they are!

I am hard at work on items for the holidays for my Etsy shop.  Lots to do.

The electric company finished wiring all of the electrical stuff and filled in all of the big holes and resodded my yard.  They did an awesome job!

Next Monday I will start my Christmas on Monday series.  Each Monday in October I will have a Christmas project for you to do with the tutorial.  So, that means you can have five projects and/or gifts out of the way this month.  See you on Monday.

Enjoy this beautiful day!

Judy

    2. Interesting that your Morning Glories and the mystery plant are just now blooming! I noticed while driving through the neighborhood today, that the only flowers still in bloom here are zinnias. Good for you to continue to grow your Etsy business! You are so creative.

    1. The stalk got thicker. I had it staked but it grew so fast it just tilted over and now lays on the ground. I don't have anything tall enough to stake it with now. See ya Monday.

  9. I love Morning Glories. When I lived in Bahrain, my gardener found some seeds for me and he planted them around the little fence that surrounded my cottage. They grew so fast and were so thick that they completely covered the fence. I had a family of three mongoose who lived created a little home in the thick of the Morning Glories. I became very attached to them and they would poke their heads out every morning as if to say hi when I sat outside with my tea. They protected me too. They found a baby cobra on my back porch and that ended that problem. Enjoy your delightful flowers!
