Spring and Fairies Gardens

I can hardly believe what happened overnight in Oklahoma.  I have blooms popping up everywhere.

Yesterday, my grandson and I spent most of the late afternoon working outside - mostly raking and bagging leaves.  Unfortunately when you have huge trees in your yard, that is one of the prices you pay.     Lots of leaves!!

We are lucky in Tulsa, in that if you bag your leaves in clear white trash bags, the city will pick them up.

Look at the rose bushes already.

My gorgeous tulip tree literally bloomed out overnight.  My Mother would have absolutely loved this tree.  It was one of her favorites.

Now, to Fairy Gardens...

I bought this huge array of beautiful little houses that will be perfect for Fairy Gardens.

I have approximately 50 of them in all different colors.

I want to show you the detail in just one...

Look at this beauty!

So much detail...

Look at the little climbing roses on the side of the house.

If you are interested in any of these for your Fairy Gardens, I will be selling them 3/$12.00 plus shipping.  They are approximately 3" x 3".  I have them in all kinds of homes and shops, so if you have a special request, let me know and I will try to accommodate your wishes.

In the next few days, I will show you some of the really cute ways I have used these houses.

I am not listing these until next week on my Etsy but am giving you all - my faithful readers - first chance.

Have a great week!

Enjoy!

Judy

  2. That is a really good price on those little houses, Judy. They are just darling. We broke record temps today and yesterday here in WI. It's been crazy...we are usually in the 20s or 30s and this week we had 50+ degrees. Next week it is back to snow and cold, I suppose. xo Diana

    1. Happy Monday Diana. I'm really concerned about all of my plants and trees. It's suppose to be in the 80's a few days this week and then the temps will plunge into freezing????? Hope they all survive.

      Thanks for visiting.

    1. Yes, this is about the fifth time we've done all of the leaves. But, now the trees are bare and will be budding out soon I'm sure. So, maybe no more raking and bagging till next Fall. Thanks for visiting.

  4. I bet the grands are going to love seeing these wee houses. Your spring is so advanced, I am just thrilled that little green shoots are showing through our still very cold soil. Your two have raked a hug amount of leaves 0 that is a lot of big bags. Hugs.

    1. Happy Monday Joy! We are suppose to have 80's this week and then a polar plunge in temps next week. Don't know what it will do to all of the foliage. We'll just wait and see.

  9. I can't believe all that's blooming your way already! Our weather here in northern IL has been in the 60's the past few days, which is pretty much miraculous. Usually at this time of year, it's still bitter cold with lots of snow. I spied lilies coming out of the ground, which is a month early here. Your little houses will look so cute in fairy gardens!

  11. You are doing my favorite kind of work out there in the yard! Your tulip tree is beautiful! We had one of those way back when at our first house. Definitely need one again because they bloom so much earlier than other things.

  13. Those sweet little houses will be just perfect for fairy gardens! The Live Oaks are starting to shed their leaves here. I will be raking for days. Victoria picks up leaves and garden debris for mulch and I will be buying lots and lots of those big paper bags to fill. The upside is, it's a good workout and my FitBit is so happy when I have expended so much energy :-)

    Love,
    Susan and Bentley
