It has been a wild and crazy week in Tulsa - weather wise!  Rain and wind has been unbelievable.  I am amazed at how great the flowers and shrubs are doing.  I have lost a few limbs out of trees but nothing major.  Thank goodness I had the trees all trimmed recently.

This hydrangea in the front yard is in full bloom.  I'm always amazed at the coloring on this one.  The other 3-4 I have show no signs of blooms yet.

Aahhhh!  The beautiful peonies have come and gone.

Mother's Day was great.  Good phone visit and card from son.  Tiffany had a graduation to go to out of town, so I ask her if she wouldn't just bring the girls over for the afternoon.  She agreed the long drawn out graduation ceremony was not conducive to little ones.

How can you not have fun with these three?

Laynee serenaded us.

The girls got awful quiet in the playroom and I went to see what was going on.  When it gets really quiet, you know there is something happening with three little ones.

They were playing dress up and guess who got crammed in one of their play tutus?

Poor Bella.  It didn't take her long for me to help her get out of that.

Laynee graduated from Kindergarten this week.  SOB!  They had a program on Tuesday and today was their last day of school.

She was blessed with two great teachers this year.  This is Ms. Manley who took over at semester break for her other teacher, Mrs. Fondren, who...

had this precious little one.  She came back for the children's program.

Last week was our precious Landen's birthday.  He would have been 13.  Can't believe he's been gone that long.  I know he is lighting up Heaven with that smile.

For you that have asked, Bella's arthritis is doing really well.  The meds she takes twice a day (and loves - believe it or not) are really doing the trick.

So, just an inkling of what my past week has been like.  The weeks just fly by so fast.

Have a great week and enjoy life.

Judy

  1. You're so lucky to have all those sweet little girls to spend time with so often. My 2 granddaughters live so far away I'm lucky to see them once a year. It's so sad for me. I love your unusual hydrangea! I need one! LOL! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

    1. Yes Teresa, I am very blessed to have those precious little ones with me daily. One day a week we find a new park to try out and one night a week we go to McDonalds with a playground. They keep me young (kinda). LOL

  2. You are really bless to have those beautiful little girls. I bet they really enjoy going to your house and isn't wonderful to be so close. My Kelly is 500 miles away and only get to see her about 2 to 3 times a year.

Hope you haven't been getting any of those tornadoes. How old is Bella?
So glad she is doing well on meds.

    Have a wonderful week,
    Mary

    1. Yes, those three little ones are such a blessing to me on a daily basis. I get to go on their field trips from Day Care and see them daily when I pick them up. They are so much fun and so much work. But, the older they get, the easier it is.

Bella is 9-10 years old. We don't know for sure. She was a shelter dog. She's doing great.

We're having horrible storms today with threats of tornados. Hope they stay away.

    1. Thanks Claudia. They certainly keep me busy. It just seems so strange that Landen would be teenager. I'm sure he's keeping Poppy busy up there in Heaven. They were great buddies.

Have a good and safe weekend. Our weather here is horrible with threats of high winds and possible tornadoes,

  6. I nearly spit up my coffee when I saw Bella in that Tutu! How sweet :).

It must be so very hard to lose a grandchild. I'm sure it leaves a hole in one's heart, but your adorable granddaughters must bring you joy and you're fortunate to have them so close to you. It's what life is all about.

    1. Thanks Doreen. I couldn't help but pull out the camera before I pulled her out of that tutu! She was not a happy camper but never growled or anything. She loves those girls.

It was really hard losing Landen but he made such an impact on so many lives in his short four years. Hard to believe he'd be a teenager.

      Have a great weekend.

  7. Judy-Those girls are absolutely adorable! Just darling and so much fun at those ages. Our kids used to dress up our CAT! Imagine THAT! lol

Somewhere along the way, I missed that you had lost Landen. I am assuming he is your grandson? I say IS rather than WAS because they are always with us in our hearts. Our little Annabella would be 12 this July. Heartbreaking to even think about, isn't it? Just think- John is there with him-hope they are behaving themselves!

God bless you- have a good weekend- xo Diana

    1. kThanks for dropping by Diana. You never know what those three girls are up to.

Landen was diagnosed with cancer at 3 years old. He survived many chemos, cell transplants and surgeries and never complained about anything. He was a real trooper and made it 18 months. I know he is up there having a ball with his Poppy. They were really good buddies.

Sorry about your Annabella. But, like you said, they are always with us.

      Have a good weekend.

  8. Such sweet and happy smiles on those grands of yours, Judy!

It's been very windy and rainy and cool here today, so NOT like May weather for the island! Glad your pretties are doing well in spite of the nasty winds.

    Have a lovely weekend,

  12. The weather here in northern IL has been crazy, too. A few days ago it was hot and humid, then it was crazy-windy where my patio furniture blew over...and now the past two days it's been cold (high 30's - low 40's) and rainy!

    The girls are so cute...that's a precious picture of the three of them. Too funny how they got Bella all dressed up. Hard to believe Landen would be a teenager now. {{hugs}}

    1. Thanks for dropping by Melanie. Our weather has been so crazy. I don't think I have ever heard thunder and lightning as strong as it has been the last few days. Even upset Bella and usually the weather doesn't phase her.

      Have a great week.
