Summer Is Definitely Here in Oklahoma!

Summer has definitely arrived in Oklahoma!  We are running in the high 90's and the heat index has been around 103-110.  WHEW!  That's hot.  We went from cold weather into hot summer overnight.

Wanted to share some of my past Fourth of July decorations.....

really love this Coca Cola one - it hangs over my desk...

The flowers are doing great.  I water in the mornings and later in the evenings.  They are really drooping by the evening with this high heat.

Am really missing my Bella.

She was just so much company to me.  I still miss her greeting me at the door every time I come home.  I never know when the mail has come because she always barked before the mailman even stepped foot on the porch.  I miss her sleeping beside me at night and waking up so happy every morning.  Pets become such an avid part of the family and it is so hard to get over the loss.

Had a couple of pieces of my red transferware potted at the flea market with succulents.  There is a lady there that sells them and you just bring her a container and she pots them for you.

Here's hoping you have a good weekend and a great Fourth of July.

Enjoy!

Judy

I know you miss your Bella...we lost our Bailey last year and still think of here all the time, too. xoxo

  3. Your 4th of July decorations are fabulous! Have you thought of rescuing another little dog to keep you company? I'm sure a little fur kid would be lucky to have you adopt them. Your weather sounds way too hot.. we're at like 70 deg here in Oregon.

  5. Oh Judy I know how much you miss Bella. When we lost Cooper I was so heartbroken. I still am. I think about him all the time. Big lug of love was so special. I think it is hard for you with Bella being your companion after John passed too. Maybe someday you will feel like you might open your heart to a new fur baby. They do make our lives so filled with joy and love. I love all your 4th decor. The buntings are so cute and that coke picture is awesome. We are sharing your hot hot weather this weekend. 98 today and over 100 tomorrow. We are breaking heat records. We have our little Charlotte's 2nd birthday party this Sunday at my daughters. She is having over 50 people including lots of kids to the house. I hope it cools down some and the rain predicted on Sunday holds off until the evening. The humidity on top of this oppressive heat. Stay cool by you. Have a great 4th of July.
    Hugs,
    Kris

I so understand the loss of our companion and friend like Bella was to you. Nothing beats their unconditional love and loyalty. Wow your weather does not sound like fun! We have been in the 80's here in central Oregon.. just right for me! Take care.... Marilyn

  10. We are having your intense heat. It's 107 right now with the heat index. We're staying inside! Like my aunt said yesterday, may as well be zero since we can't go outside and do anything. Love all your Fourth of July decorations. I don't decorate for the 4th - never did. Just never got into it. But I love seeing other people's decor! I can only imagine how much you miss your sweet Bella. I'm so sorry. Your transferware looks so pretty with the succulents in it.

  12. Judy, My heart aches for your loss of Bella! It is so hard to lose a pet at any age and I think even harder as we get older. I never did get another pet after I lost our Misty.

I love all of your decorations for the 4th and those transferware pieces with the succulents are just so much fun. AND I love the Coca-Cola sign!!!!

Have a wonderful 4th, Judy- xo Diana

  16. I'm sure you are busy with wedding preps but I hope you plan on coming back and sharing with us. I enjoy reading your blog. I hope everything is coming together for you all. Good luck! I hope you have great weather. I am attending an outdoor wedding this evening and the rain from the hurricane is suppose to hit the St Louis area today. Could have 6 inches of rain over the weekend.
