I am not one to do tablescapes, but rather vignettes. If I did set a table for special occasions like Valentines Day, this is what I would use.
It's a combination of this set of red and white chintz dishes I have and some solid red pieces also. I just can't control myself when I see cute dishes even if I don't know what I am going to do with them. Crazy, eh?
I added a solid red flower shaped saucer and a red salad bowl on top of the red and white chintz saucer. I love layering the dishes. Along with a trio of red Bakelite salt and pepper shakers and a few red buttons scattered on the table, it makes a cute setting I think.
Enjoy!

I just love the way you arrange things. I'm always looking again to see why it works so well...and if I can figure out how to do that! I have enough vintage things...that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove those! Very creative(as always)!
ReplyDeleteCheery wave!

It is adorable ... on my I saw those flowered dishes in Goodwill yesterday and I really struggled not to spend any money. I came away without them but as soon as I saw them in your tablescape, I was like OH NO!!! Wish I could have gotten them, but I'm okay without.

Those red chintz dishes are gorgeous. I cannot set a table either. I stack dishes up and that makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteCrazy as a fox! Buy what you love and worry later about what to do with it. That's my story.....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I sure wouldn't mind eating my chicken vegetable soup from that sweet setting tonight at dinner. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't do tablescapes either, mainly because a couple of my kitties are very naughty and would be trying to jump on the table to see what's up there! Love your vignette...I think a lot of us women love dishes, and red is always so cheerful and lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, love the red and white chintz dishes. Perfect for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - a very cute vignette. Love those floral dishes.
ReplyDeleteI love your dishes, Judy....it is all just darling-ready for Valentine's Day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOoo I love dishes too! Weak spot for me :)
ReplyDeleteThose darling dishes!! I have never seen flowered chintz dishes in red, they're wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way. Very hard to pass up dishes. It's my weakness. I LOVE those red and white dishes!! So so cute. No matter how many dishes you have you HAD to have those!
