Ahhh - August Means Sunflowers & Watermelons

 
Yes, to me, August means Sunflowers and Watermelons!
 
My all time favorite sunflower is my Bed Spring Wreath above and my all time favorite watermelon project is the Watermelon Tray I painted below.
 
 
You've seen those before, so let's go to a couple of new items.
 
 
I love this watermelon pillow done in pinks instead of reds.  I got this a couple of years ago at JoAnn's.
 
 
What is this you say????
 
A very creative and inventive idea I got off of Pinterest.
 
 
Take a golf tee, hot glue a flower on top (in this case - sunflower) and run the tee through your bobbin and drop it in the hole of the spool of thread.  That way, when you get your white spool of thread, you instantly have your bobbin ready to go also!

    Clever, cute, and adorable! I used to decorate with watermelons and sunflowers for the month of August until Worker Bee said, "ENOUGH!" So, now I mostly do seasonal.
