Saturday Treasures 5/15/2015

Last Saturday the Tulsa Flea Market was closed (you can imagine my panic when I arose on Saturday morning realizing there was no Flea Market).  But, I did hit a couple of Estate Sales and then the Flea Market today.

Love these two plates.  The one on the right is English and has the most beautiful edge.  It is called "The Kill".

Bags of linens and laces.

Some gorgeous blue pieces.

Pretty old tarnished silver pieces.

Red pieces of course.

Some wooden pieces - a tray, basket, large birdhouse and little wooden carrier tote.

Isn't this the sweetest wreath?  It's all metal even the ribbon.

Love this little lace covered book.

It's called "A Pastoral" and was done in the 1970's.

Each set of pages has a poem about the pressed flower on the other side.  All in some of the most beautiful detail.  Interesting.

I have been sewing all week long working on new items for my Etsy shop.  I am getting ready to go a different direction with my Etsy and will share more as I get further into the development of it.

I have also been sewing fun things for my great-grandbabies.  Will finish those and share soon.

We are suppose to have horrible weather later today and all day tomorrow.  Tornados, hail, the whole gamut.

  1. Judy, I love all of your flea market treasures, especially the lace covered book. What a find! We are 60 miles south of Wichita, KS and we are also in for a variety of weather. Right now it is raining really hard. Can't wait to see what you have in mind for your etsy shop. Stay safe!

  2. Nice finds, especially the lace book and silver. Looking forward to seeing what you are making.
We had thunderstorms during the night and dreary today.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

  3. That book is an Exceptional Find, love it, priceless!! I hope your weather isn't too terribly bad today and the you are enjoying some great crafting/sewing time! We had lots of rain yesterday, cloudy and cool today, so unusual for May, but we will take it! Have a beautiful rest of your weekend! Blessings, Cindy

  4. You always find great treasures. Stay safe in all that weather. Hugs

  5. Wow, you found some exceptional dishes. I love the Royal Cauldon, I have quite a few of them...the beaded rims are so pretty. What a beautiful crocheted book cover.
It is just now starting to storm up here in east/central Kansas. I sure wish Mother Nature would spread some of this rain out over the summer when it is really needed. Stay safe, Judy!

  6. Oh Judy, I don't know what I love best - the Kill plate, the laces, the Pastoral book, the metal wreath - you did really, really well! Be safe, my friend, and I look forward to hearing about your new direction.

  7. Wonderful goodies, the lace book especially! I would love to have a flea market around here every Saturday!

  8. Judy, I love your new do very . I hope you are all safe there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Judy, you always find some wonderful treasures. They are all very pretty - love the linens.
Be careful with all those storms - you and Bella stay safe. Does she get scared when they come?
Happy Sunday and looking forward to seeing all your lovelies you are making.

  10. Judy, I'm a dishaholic, I'm afraid, and you found some beauties! I love the English one with that great rim, but they're all pretty.

I didn't see the news tonight and didn't realize OK was in for more storms. Stay safe.

  11. At the risk of repeating myself, you find the neatest things, Judy! I love the dishes, linens, silver...all of it! I hope you won't have too severe a storm there. We had a tornado warning last evening and sirens were blaring, but thankfully none touched down around here. It rained again today and more on the way, they say. Just as long as the storms aren't tornadic, I'm okay. Stay safe and have a nice Sunday!

  12. Bird house looks interesting. Hope the bad weather steers away from you. Betty

  13. Some great finds. I love all the blue china pieces you scored.

  14. Out of all the amazing finds, the bird house is the most adorable! Perfect for our little feathered friends to weather the storms approaching! Take care xx

  15. You find such fun things, Judy. I love that little metal wreath and that small book with the pressed flowers. You sure find a lot of good "stuff". Can't wait to see what you do with your Etsy shop. xo Diana

  16. The lace covered book is gorgeous...what a fabulous find. Love the silver and pretty hankies, too! Enjoy your day sweet friend. Hugs, Diane

    Happy week ahead.

  19. Accck! Love that birdhouse! Is that bowl flow blue? Love all your goodies this week! Thanks for sharing them. Hope you are well. XO

  20. Wow Judy, you really scored big time! Love everything you got. I have my table set with blue and white vintage and thrift find dishes right now. Your new treasures would fit right in. lol! I love and collect red transferware and have a similar plate. If it's red, it comes home with me as well. Love the vintage lace! Hope you don't get too horrible of weather. It's been raining here all weekend. No complaints because we really need the water, but I'm ready for some sunshine!

  21. Judy,
Loving the silver and imagining new creative uses for them. Boy did you score big! Thanks for your sweet visit and your very kind words.

  22. Judy, as I was reading I thought these were items you saw but didn't necessarily purchase, but based on the comments you did pick up all of these treasures it seems! Wow! You did really well, as they are all beautiful!

  23. I pray that you don't get bad weather! You hit the jackpot on all of those goodies:) I go for the lace, linens and hankies:) My faves! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

  24. Great haul! I love, love, love the dishes. . .and the lace and trims!

  25. Great finds!! Our big flea market was this passed weekend and we didn't go because of bad weather. Praying you stay safe from the bad storms heading your way today.

  26. We now have that same birdhouse! I love all your cute finds. You are some picker!!

    Big Texas Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley

  27. Wow! Love it all but adore the tarnished silver and the plates the most!

  28. That ribbon on the wreath looks like ribbon, not metal. Amazing!
