I love putting out patriotic decor every year. This year, my new item is the bright and cheerful banner on the front porch.
It is made out of a panel that you just bond to a medium weight fusible interfacing and then cut out, add ribbon and you're done.
This panel of fabric was given to me by my dear friend Bev at 44th Street Fabric last week when we met for lunch in Oklahoma City
I only used five of the panels and there were scads more left. If you are interested in buying a panel, contact her at 44th Street Fabric.
The wreath I made last year from 4th of July reproductions of vintage postcards.
My front yard is so pretty. We have had so much rain that everything is so green and lush. Of course, last week's 100 degree weather will very quickly take care of all of the green.
The Hostas are just huge.
My Peace Lily is loaded with blooms. It is inside.
The front porch is all decorated for July. In pulling up these photos, I realized that I really do love doing red, white and blue projects.
Banners.
Painted Mason Jars.
My wooden firecrackers for the flowerbed.
My aged patriotic shield.
The wooden fence post firecrackers I made for the playhouse out in the back yard.
The kid's bike I sprayed red and filled the basket with red and white flowers. Oops, forgot the little flags.
And last, but not least, the wooden shutter I painted to look like an American flag.
So, I am ready for July!
Enjoy!
Judy

I'm on the hunt for a shutter now! You just made the cutest things. I have a bench that is similar - should I tell husband that I need a front porch so I can put my bench on it with chute pillows! Everything is so cute.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have made some gorgeous decorations for the 4th of July! I remember the wreath with the postcards as I really love that vintage look. I'd like to make one but I'm busy clearing out and packing to move hopefully by September so no new projects for me right now! LOL! I wish my yard looked as nice as yours! We usually get your weather as we are straight across from you (North Central Arkansas) but you seem to get the worst of it.
