Cannas and Confusion

I'm pretty sure that these are cannas????  Whatever they are, they have huge leaves and beautiful colors.

The confusion around here is driving me crazy already.  Do you know how long it takes to completely empty your kitchen cabinets, baker's rack, all entry furniture, and every shelf out of two bathrooms?

Remember, I've lived in this home for almost 47 years.

Well, it is getting done, slowly but surely.  They start tearing out the first bathroom next Saturday.  As soon as they get that one done and I have a working bathroom, they will tear into the kitchen and hall bath.

I sure hope this is all worth it.

Have a great week.  If you don't hear from me, you'll know what is going on.

Judy

I can't imagine cleaning and revamping after all those years. It will feel so good when it's done. :)

    1. Oh, and your cannas are lovely! Yes, they are cannas. My brother used to grow red ones. They were everywhere in his yard! I guess they were pretty happy there. ;)

  3. Judy, I do not even want to clean out a junk drawer...so I can only imagine all the stuff from cabinets and shelves. Purge as you go...then you won't have to put so much stuff back. Don't work too hard. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  4. Love the pretty color of your cannas. Just go and sit and stare at them when you get overwhelmed with the reno. I am sure it will all be worth it in the end. Just getting there might be a little stressful. Good luck.

  6. I hate to have to clean out everything for remodeling. I am still finding things from 7 years ago. I was out of town on a business trip and they put everything in boxes. Well now I am going through them and finding lots of JUNK LOL. You will love it when everything is completed. It will be like a new house.
The cannas are very pretty, i have red ones.
You and Bella have a great week, Hope the fireworks didn't bother Bella. Lili was beside herself - hated them.

  8. I don't envy you having to empty so much, it is a job, for sure. I just got done emptying all the kitchen cabinets to put new shelf liners in all the cupboards now that the painting is behind me. You will be so happy with the results you will forget all the work to get there!
Yes, those are cannas, very pretty ones, too.
    Have a great week, Judy.

  9. One good thing about having to empty cabinets is you'll HAVE to go through all that and probably find out that you don't need 90% of it all! :-) Hope to see you in a few weeks! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  21. Gorgeous yellow cannas! I haven't grown any in a while since my garden is mostly shadier. Construction is a of work and stress but I hope your'll be tickled pink with it when it's all done. Make sure to pamper yourself with all this activity going on!

  24. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, breathe deeply and try to remember that it will be worth it at the end. Or eat some chocolate.
