Sharing and Beauty in the Yard

When I pick Laynee up from school every day, our usual stop is Braums for a blue Birthday Cake ice cream cone.

This particular day, I had Bella with me so watch carefully....

watch it....

watch it....

and finally Laynee broke down and gave her a bite.  They are such good friends.

I know some of you are still having bad weather but here in Oklahoma, even tho some days are a little chilly, the flowers and trees think Spring is definitely here to stay.

Tulips are all budded out.

Don't know what this is, but the front flower beds are full of it and it is really pretty.

Lots of Hostas just growing overnight!  I am always just amazed at how this plants just pop out of the ground and grow so fast.

I wanted to plant a Redbud Tree (which is the Oklahoma State Tree) and lo and behold, when this tree started blooming, it was a Redbud.

I have probably a dozen Hydrangea plants and they are growing like crazy.

Enjoy!

Judy

  4. Those pictures of Bella grabbing the ice cream are absolutely priceless - love it!
So many pretty things budding in your area. Not here! We are still so far behind you. In fact, I'm staring out my living room window right now at a layer of snow on the fence and trees. :-( Like you, I love redbud trees. One of my favorite spring bloomers. We don't have one, but I enjoy the trees in my neighborhood.

  18. I MISS BRAUMS!! that's the first place I go when I get to Oklahoma. Every time. I'm jealous of your spring. I still have to wait a few more weeks. The sunis snaking out today but it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Maybe I'll go check on my hostas. They're only nubs here but they still bring hope!

  20. Judy, these pictures of Laynee and Bella are priceless. I love that third one. :) Spring has surely arrived in your area, and it's nice that the pink blossom tree is already planted in your yard. I have two of them in my back yard, but are a bit different.

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter.

    love, ~Sheri

  28. Oh how exciting to see so much that will be blooming in your yard for the first time! That's the good thing about buying a resale. It already has a lot of established landscaping! Laynee and your pup are so cute! I think that's sweet that she gets an ice cream after school every day.

  34. Judy, your little granddaughter is so precious sharing her ice cream. We were once in an ice cream parlor and a little boy had his dog. The boy took a bite...the dog got a bite and it went on and on. So cute. :)

It's so much fun to see what comes up out of the ground. Your redbud is beautiful.
