OK, my next venture is the Master Bathroom. It is a tiny room but works well for me. But, I can't handle the pink. Remember, I just got rid of all of the pink tile in my two bathrooms in the old house last summer.
I had my hall bath in the new home done by the same contractors I used last summer. They did an amazing job and I will be showing it off very soon. But, for now, I'm going to do what I can do to make my bathroom more pleasing to me.
Here we go....
Ceramic tile shower in pink and white, old vanity in white with pink ceramic tile....
New stool and tiny window....
Pink and white vanity....
Brass light fixture and faucets....
Floor....
Lots of storage behind door facing mirror....
I really don't like the metal mesh in the doors. Hmmm, wonder what I can do for that?
Inside of the shower!
I have ordered a roll of wallpaper to do a partial wall. Yes, I know most of you don't like wallpaper but I have always loved it and am real anxious to get it up.
I'm going with cream, ecru, caramel and white in the decor. So, stay tuned.
You may not have ever seen this view of Bella. She was so sound asleep on the loveseat which I keep covered with a sheet. The tan color piece is John's bathrobe which she drags around and sleeps on.
She has a perfect round black spot on her rear about the size of a dinner plate.
She's so special!
Now to today's specials in the gardens...
I have pink rose bushes...
Iris in various gorgeous colors...
And some plants I have no idea of what they are - except pretty!
And then beautiful white azaleas!
I have pink and red rose bushes in the back yard but no yellow, so today my grandson planted me two yellow rose bushes.
You who have followed my blog know that yellow roses were what I had at my wedding and what John always got me for any occasion. So, I am looking forward to enjoying the yellow roses.
Have a great week!
Enjoy!
Judy
Beautiful flowers Judy. Bella has such wonderful markings. Thanks for the bathroom peek too. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Thanks Joy! I certainly am enjoying the fruits of the previous owner's labor!
DeleteHave a wonderful week.
Judy
Goodness, that circle on Bella's backside is so perfectly round!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a perfect circle. I have found a lot of dogs that are similar to her have perfect circles somewhere!!
DeleteHave a good week.
Judy
What lovely flowers and how wonderful to have yellow roses in your gardens. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteFlowerLady
Thanks! I am looking forward to the yellow roses this summer.
DeleteHave a great week!
Judy
Love a good project. Can't wait to see final. Love, love, love roses, especially pink and yellow and the iris's remind me of my Momma!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope it won't take too long but then again, I am old!! LOL I have never had iris before but they sure are showy.
DeleteThanks for dropping by.
Judy
I look forward to seeing what you come up with Judy. And I rather like that pink vanity in the bathroom...so retro. I have a love/hate relationship with wall paper. I love it until it is time to take it down!!
ReplyDeleteAm anxious to get started! I am only doing a small wall with paper. I am having to use liner paper because the wall has a slight texture to it. It's suppose to be strippable but I've hear that before. LOL
DeleteJudy
Love the storage in the bathroom. We are doing our bathroom over the next few years. Just taking our time with it since it is our only bathroom and need it everyday.
ReplyDeleteThanks Betty! I'm not doing any thing major to mine so hopefully it won't take long. I just had the main bathroom done and everything is so expensive. Will be showing my finished bath in the near future. Stay tuned.
DeleteJudy
I think the white flowers you don't recognize are called "Candytuft", scientific name Iberis.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheryl! I'm have never been much of a gardener o there are a lot of flowers I have that I don't know the name of.
DeleteHave a good week.
Judy
Love the picture of Bella. Pretty flowers in your garden. I can't wait to see what happens in the bathroom. I kind of like the vanity, but I don't think I could go with all the pink either. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBella is a very special dog. She was a shelter dog but I say that she adopted us instead of us adopting her. LOL I'm not taking out any of the tile - basically just covering up some of it.
DeleteThanks for dropping by.
Judy
Oh that Bella is so precious! I adore your garden and can't wait to see what you do in your bathroom.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Am anxious to get started.
DeleteJudy
How exciting! We are also just starting on a bathroom project although sadly it is not ours (which desperately needs it) but is for our Emma. Lucky girl. At least we will finally get our bathroom back and not have to share with her anymore.
ReplyDeleteI just had my hall bath redone and love it but decided to wait a while to have the smaller bath redone. But, thought I could do some things to make it more "me".
DeleteThanks for visiting.
Judy
That photo of Bella is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom project will be fun to see! You are doing a wonderful job of making this house just what you want it to be! Love all of your beautiful flowers...we are just getting the first leaves here...
Thanks Linda! That Bella is such a sweetheart! She has been so much company since John passed away. Am enjoying working on the house so much and am making it mine
DeleteHave a great week.
Judy
Judy, I am really into Pink right now, and just did my guest bedroom in that color, so I like the Pink bathroom that's already there, but I'm anxious to see what you're going to do. You always make every room so nice and cozy, so I know it's gonna look great.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Thanks Sheri!
DeleteHave a good week!
Judy
It's so sweet that Bella drags around a piece of John's bathrobe. What a precious girl she is! Anxious to see the bathroom reveal as I know it will be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Thanks Susan! It's not a piece of the robe - it's the whole robe! LOL She wants it around any place she lays down. She drags it around all day but won't take it outside - thank goodness.
DeleteHave a good weekend.
Judy
What a wonderful grandson you have to plant you two yellow rose-bushes. I kind of like your retro pink bathroom... :-) Your dog is adorable.. how sweet she sleeps on John's bathrobe. Have a fab weekend. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa! My grandson is a lot of help but he's not around a lot. He lives about 45 minutes away but is here on weekends sometimes. Well, he lives in Pryor - I forgot you know where that is.
DeleteHave a great week.
Judy
Your flowers are so beautiful and so glad that you got 2 yellow rose bushes.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to see what you do to your bathroom. I know that it will be beautiful when you finish.
Bella, looks so cute sleeping with her back to us. She is so pretty.
Have a terrific week, Judy.
Mary
Am excited about my yellow rose bushes. Am anxious to get started on my bathroom. It shouldn't take long - it's not real big.
DeleteBella has been such a comfort to me in the last year and a half. She is so loving.
Have a great week.
Judy

ReplyDeleteLove your flowers! Isn't it fun to see what appears at your new house?
ReplyDeleteLove Bella's spot and if you want to send that pink tile to me, I'd be happy to take it. I would love that bathroom!
Loving your blooming flowers! Looking forward to the "changes" in your pink bathroom! Sweet Bella and that she loves your hubby's robe :)
ReplyDeletewarmly,
deb
Judy,
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous!
My G'Ma had two yellow rose bushes at the base of her front porch!
I loved stopping to inhale their heady aroma before abounding the front porch steps
during my visits as a child!
Enjoy yours, dear friend!
I'll be watching for a Bath Make~over Reveal!
Fondly,
Pat
Judy, I have to say I like the vintage pink tile on the counter. Love your flowers and that spot on your girl.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
What were they thinking with those pink tile stripes in the shower! Oh my.
ReplyDeleteHave fun making it into a space you will like better.
Awwww Bella, what a sweetheart. (excuse me while I dab my eyes with a tissue).
So sweet of your grandson to plant the yellow roses for you! The roses here have been blooming like crazy.
Your bath has 'good bones' and seriously, Judy, wallpaper is making a big comeback. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteLove that your baby carries around John's bathrobe. Believe it or not, when Alan and I were first married and he went on business trips, I slept at night with his bathrobe on my pillow!! Security.
Your garden is looking wonderful. Spring blooms are just now happening here.
Jane
Your original pink and white bathroom is in pretty good shape, but like you, I'm not too fond of pink. I'm sure it will be gorgeous when it's done! I love wallpaper, too, and I do see more of it showing up in magazines again.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that Bella sleeps on your husband's old bathrobe.
You must love going outdoors to see what else is growing in your new to you gardens!
Oh so many pretty flowers:) I have been out of town and can't wait to get outside to see what is blooming in my yard! I know that you will figure out what to do with that pink bathroom to make it what you love! Have a blessed day dear friend, BIG HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of pink. I do like the vintage charm, but it sure is ready for an update. I'm sure it will be gorgeous once you finish with it.
ReplyDeleteYour new yard is full of lovely surprises. I particularly love all of the iris - my favorite flower. Can't wait to see all the updates inside.
ReplyDeleteIt is very touching that Bella seeks out something that belonged to John and appears to be comforted by it. Love the addition of the yellow roses too.
Someone really must have loved pink!! Have fun changing it up! Love all of your gorgeous flowers! Have a blessed week Judy! Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of pink for one bathroom! The tile in the shower is a hoot. I know your re-do will be beautiful. I love the dinner plate spot on Bella's rump - she is too cute! And how sweet that she sleeps on John's robe. I know you will especially treasure the yellow roses. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm in the minority but I kind of like the pink... and the old tile! Lucky you to have roses and iris already... soon for us I hope!
ReplyDelete~Chris
I think your bathroom redo and mine are sisters.
