Treasures - Neosha, Yard and Bella

Bella is indeed one of my treasures!!  She was really glad I was home after the trip to Neosha and has hardly left my side.  She is so precious!

Here are a few of my treasure from the Neosha trip...

a box of 57 butter pats - SCORE!...

a pair of Pottery Barn Kids hot pink sparkly curtains for Laynee's new room at my old home....

a set of Warren Kimball seasons prints....

a Jim Shore pumpkin....

a gorgeous old quilt rack and

a cute little whatnot shelf.  That's not near all but I'll share more later.

Then to add to my treasures, new things in my flowerbeds.

The latest project at home is that I've been working on the arrangement of my red Transferware in my hutch in the den.  So far, so good!

Enjoy!

Judy

  2. Hi Judy! Poor little Bella, she missed her mommy! I want to get a dog soon. You found some lovely things! I think your cabinet looks gorgeous with your read transferware. I agree with Linda, you're settling in very well.

    1. Thanks Shelia! Bella had always stayed home when I left and the friend across the street (who adores dogs) would feed and check on her. But, she hasn't quite adjusted to the new home yet. I am going to have to find someone who can come and stay with her at the new home when I'm gone. She really pouts! LOL

  4. Hi Judy! Wow...what great finds! I know you are having so much fun getting everything the way you want it in your new home. LOVE the red transfer ware display too. And you are most definitely right about those sweet fur babies missing us when we go away...my Oscar is the same way. Enjoy your week :)

    1. Thanks Debby! We had a great time at all of the sales. I am enjoying my new home so much. I'm at a point now tho, that every few days I want to stop and make curtains, hang pictures or do something creative rather than unpack boxes! LOL

    1. When I got to Neosha, Jeannie and Rita had already hit a few sales and the first thing they said was "oh, there's a sale that has a whole bunch of those little butter pats". So we went directly there and I was thrilled to find them and get them all.

  6. Your dishes look amazing on display! I know you are happy to have them in a good place to really enjoy them. And do you know what? I don't know what a butter pat is. I wonder now if I am seeing them at the thrift store and don't know what they are! Well....now I'm going to have to be on the lookout! I LOVE them and think I need one now! haha! Wish you had been shopping with me this week...or visa versa! HUGS!!!

    1. Thanks Diane! We had so much fun. The butter pats are little plates put at a table setting at each place with just a pat of butter on them! I have a huge frame with probably 20-30 butter pats on it and just haven't found the right place to hang it. I have a real obsession with them.

Wish you could have been with us also!

    1. Do you live near Neosha? It is definitely a gorgeous part of the country. Their yearly citywide garage sale is fantastic. You should try to make it some time. It is normally the first weekend in April but that varies depending on Easter and school days off.

    1. Love my butter pats and my Bella! She still has not adjusted to staying at the new house alone but is getting better. I need to find someone that adores dogs to stay with her when I'm gone. I had a neighbor who took care of her but Bella had to stay at home. She would go over and check on her many times a day and late at night and first thing in the morning. I can't take Bella over there and leave her once Tiffany and the girls move it because the twins can't be around dog or dog hair. And Bella certainly sheds lots of dog hair. Because they were preemies, they have lung problems and a dog is a definite no-no at this age.

      Thanks for visiting.

    1. I actually took her over to the old house because my neighbor literally adores her and takes care of her when I'm out of town. I still have her loveseat there that she takes possession of. I've got to figure out what to do when Tiff gets moved into the old house. New plan????

  18. Wow, Judy. You really did score some great treasures. A trip to one of those long, long, garage sales is on my bucket list. They seem to be more back in your area, not so much in California that I know of. Isn't it sweet to know that our pets are so happy when we come home..Have a wonderful weekend..Judy

    1. Thanks Judy! This citywide sale is in a small town and they even close school on Friday. Every parking lot in town is filled with people coming in with vans and trucks and sitting up tables. They even turn a lot of the neighborhood streets one way for Friday and Saturday. You can walk 5-6 blocks with sales on both sides of the street. It's awesome.

Bella was glad to see me. She still has not adjusted completely to staying home alone at the new house

    1. Thanks Jan. We had a lot of fun. It is a surprise every day to see what is popping up in my yard. I bought the house in December so there was nothing to see in the yard. I'm really enjoying the yard.

  22. Ooooo, the sparkly curtains are pretty, Judy. I think Laynee will like them in her room. The quilt rack is so charming. My sister would love that, as she sews quilts. It looks like a very old one. Your red dishes look so pretty on your hutch. Your home is coming along nicely, Judy.

    Hello there, Bella.

    1. Thanks Sheri! I'm doing Laynee's new room in hot pink (I let her pick out the color since it was in her new house) and that's what she wanted. The paint is almost the same color as those curtains. And she loves sparkle! I can't wait to unpack some of my quilts to put on the quilt rack. I think it is old also.

I have had those red dishes for so long and just didn't have a place to show them off. So, I am enjoying them.
