Remember the piece I acquired at the Estate Sale last weekend? Well, I got it put up and love the results. Excuse the colors - it's a dark, cloudy and rainy day here in Oklahoma.
Remember the cabinet is a light aqua blue with a stained top.
All of the decor is light aqua but because of the gray skies, I couldn't get them to show up. I used a McCoy bowl in the rounded part to keep keys in.
Above the pieces, I hung three vintage plates I had been saving for something special. They all have the soft aqua color. The plate on the right has a Sunbonnet Girl in the center. The plate on the left is a Spode plate and the center is a no name.
So, I'm done with the entry! One down, a few more rooms to finish up with just little touches.
Enjoy!
Judy

Lovely, Judy! The cabinet was a wonderful find!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. It was just perfect for what I have been looking for. I wanted to use those plates but hadn't been able to figure out how.

I love seeing what you come up with Judy! I look forward to a complete home tour when you are done decorating.
ReplyDeleteThanks Arlene. I am getting finished room by room slowly.

I really love that neat thing you put on the dresser.. what a find. I'm so happy you left the pretty wood instead of painting it. I love letting wood show it's grain and patina. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved the fact that the blue console had a wood top and the extra piece was perfect. Thanks for visiting,

I love that chest Judy! My mom found a very similar one at Salvation Army when I was a young girl. She painted it an antique green and distressed it. She sold it, but I have never forgot it. Yours reminds me of the one I miss. Great job on the entry!!

Looks great Judy. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, your entry looks lovely. Beautiful plates above that treasured furniture piece. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy June!
The new piece worked wonderfully, Judy. Glad you have the entry all done, yea!
ReplyDeleteJudy,
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, dear friend!
I adore the plates hanging above the chest!
I believe the center plate is Georgian by Homer Laughlin.
This would put it dating in the early 1950's!
Glad to see all things are coming together in your new home!
Fondly,
Pat
The piece you picked up last week is a perfect fit for your cabinet! It add character and height to display your fun pieces. The dishes look nice above as well! Blessings to you, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteLove Judy. Looks so pretty and welcoming. Glad things are coming together. I am getting to that place with my new nest too. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Such a nice piece of furniture. That figurine of the little girls in the background caught my eye, so cute. Your entryway looks very nice, Judy. I've been looking for something like this for my dining wall.
