Where Is Fall?



I know it is suppose to be Fall but these almost 100 degree days are about to do me in.  

This is the start of my Fall decor.  My little yellow truck full of pumpkins.  I try to do Fall decor that I can leave out until I start putting up Christmas.


We have had some gorgeous sunsets after these high temp days.


This little concrete bench was my parents'.  It was in their front yard as far back as I can remember.  Originally there was a tree behind it here at my house but a severe wind storm knocked the tree down.  So, the little bench just sits there by itself surrounded by this gorgeous vine.


 The vine all around the bench?  It's teensy morning glory vines.  They are not over an inch wide and open and close just like a morning glory.  They are really sweet.


I still have quite a bit of color in the yard.


I guess some flowers like the heat better than others.


Put the little yellow truck with pumpkins in the Living Room on the bookcase.

    Judy your truck with the pumpkins is so cute! I'm not sure how much Fall decor I'll get out this year. I'll just have to enjoy all the photos on the blogs!

      They are so tiny. I don't think they are new plants but I've just never seen them that small.

    LOVE that old bench with the morning glory. How special that it was your parents'. I got my pillow in the mail - the one with the doily and sweet rose button and love it so much.     Love that yellow truck with pumpkins, it's great. The bench has so much memories for you and it still looks good.

    I put our your Halloween decorations that I won last year and everything still looks wonderful. Again, thanks so much.

    We are experiencing HOT weather also with lots of moisture. I hate it also.

      The bench has to be at least 50 years old and is still in pretty good shape. It makes me smile to look out there in the back yard and see it and remember all of the good times we had at Mom and Dad's. Hope your hot weather subsides soon. Ours is suppose to take a break I think starting on Sunday. I am ready.

    I don't know WHERE it's at...not here in West Texas..93 yesterday..not sure about today. I am trying to put out a bit of Fall but it's hard with temps like this...

      Yes, it's hard to be cheerful about Fall stuff when it's 100+ degrees.

    It was 100 degrees in Dallas this week. I'm longing for fall weather. Cute pumpkin truck. Also love the bench and the teenie morning glories. Hoping for a cool down soon!

    Hi Judy, yes we are asking the same thing here in Dallas. 100 degrees and even higher heat index. Happy Fall~~ lol Well I'm sure when it finally arrives it will be worth it. Love your yellow truck. I have mine in red filled with pumpkins too. At Christmas I'll place little bottle brush trees in it.

    Judy, your little yellow truck is so delightful with the orange pumpkins in back. Another blog friend of mine had the same idea, only hers was a little red truck. Those tall flowers in your back yard are so pretty and look just like Fall! And the bench that belonged to your parents is a treasure for sure.

    Our weather has been really warm this week, too (80's), but guess that's much better than near 100! Now the rain has moved in...the forecast shows chance of rain just about every day. I haven't done any fall decorating either. I suppose it's time to lug p my box of fall decor from the basement and get started!
