Christmas Every Monday

It is rather hard to think about Christmas when it is almost 80 some degrees outside and the weather is so warm.  This is a view outside the sliding doors of my office right off of my bedroom.  The branch is a pear tree.  Notice the tree turning beautiful colors in the neighbor's yard behind me.

This is a closer up view of the back yard.

Now, on the Christmas ideas for the last
"Christmas Every Monday".

Take a board - mine was one I found in the garage measuring  7 1/2" x 20".  Spray paint it a bright red.  Then stencil the HO HO HO in black at the bottom.  You will want to kind of lay out your belt before you do your stenciling placement.

Next, cut a piece of black felt to make your Santa belt and hot glue it on and around the sides of the board.

I used a gold glitter scrapbooking paper to make the buckle and glued it on.

Last, but not least, put a Santa hat over one corner at the top.  Ta da - you're done!!

Another very simple idea is taking the Santa hat and filling it with red Christmas flowers and foilage.  I used red hydrangeas and some white and red filler.

You can buy the Santa hats at the Dollar Tree.  I happen to have some plush fur ones I got on sale last year after Christmas.

Couldn't wait to show you the girls' Halloween costumes.  I bought the costumes and then fitted them to the girls and added some extra trim.  Will be sure and take some photos when they come by Trick or Treating!

Laynee will be Bella from Beauty and the Beast.

Kaycee will be Cinderella.

And Laycee will be Snow White!

Enjoy!

Judy

    1. Thanks Lorraine! I don't know what that is in the back yard. I've had the greenery all summer but just last week, it burst out with the blooms. I have three huge bunches of it in the back yard. Thanks for visiting.

  9. OH- I bet the girls looked just darling as 'princesses'. It is so much fun when they are at that age, isn't it? That is a REALLY cute idea with the board. It would make a good 'exchange' gift for a party I always go to. xo Diana
