My Gingerbread Kitchen

As I stared taking down my Christmas decor, I realized that I hadn't shared my Gingerbread Kitchen with you all.

I used a small prelit 3 foot tree and covered it with these darling little gingerbread boys and houses.  I found them at Dollar Tree.  The little boys were 4 to a package for $1.00 and the little houses were $1.00 apiece.  They are so cute!!  I sure hope they last for a few years.  I'm going to put them in a sealed container and hope for the best.

The tree will probably have more decor on it next year.

I made an actual gingerbread house but did not put the bottom or the roof on.  I had measured and made sure it was the right size for the tree base to fit in.  I then painted the details in with paint - not icing.

I got this darling little painted coffee pot at a craft show.

Also got these two cute little calico trees there too.

This is a swag I made using bigger gingerbread boys, snowy branches,a Christmas ribbon and some Christmas ornaments.

So, hope you enjoy my gingerbread kitchen.

Happy New Year's Eve to all of my blogging friends.

Judy

  6. One of my favorite kitchen 'themes'. We have a little kitchenette downstairs and I always dress that up with gingerbread boys and items. It always makes me smile-and your tree makes me smile, too. What great finds for the tree at $1.00 each!!!! xo Diana
