Happy Fall and I'm Back!

It has been a busy and fun few months.  Tiff's wedding was on September 15th (John's birthday) and it was just about perfect.  Don't know that we would have changed a thing.  She was a beautiful bride and the little girls was gorgeous also.  I don't have photos yet because the two days before the wedding were so hectic.  We had a photographer for 10 hours so as soon as we get her pics, I'll be anxious to share them with you.

Went with my same white decor as last year in the Dining Room.

Coffee table in the Living Room.

Love my Jim Shore pumpkin.

This is next to the front door.  Found that sign with the aqua pumpkins and decided it was perfect.  Then, just hung a fall swag over it.

My back yard has been a jungle this year.  So green and lush even with all of the hot weather.

The Southern Magnolia tree did very well.

My fences in the back are covered again in these tiny blue Morning Glories.

I know I said I wasn't going to get another pet, but these little guys came to me.  I had this new flower bed built around my huge Oak tree in the front yard and I feed them every morning.  The minute I open the front door to get the paper, they are sitting there waiting on me to bring them their squirrel food.  The girls love to watch their antics but I make them sit on the front porch in their chairs and not get too close.

The Hostas amaze me every year.

I have postponed my should surgery until ?????  I have learned how to not use it as much and can tolerate the pain so I talked to the surgeon and told him I'd like to wait.  He was ok with the idea.  The damage has been done and he said as long as I could tolerate the pain, it was my call.  So, I don't have to worry about being out of commission for 2 months. YET!!!

The first week in August, I had the dreadful stomach virus for almost 12 consecutive hours.  Ended up while I was in the bathroom, I passed out and fell on the tile floor.  Tiff called the ambulance and they took me to the hospital and kept me for 5 days.  I had no broken bones - thank goodness - but did have some damage. I had one whole side of my face black and blue but Tiff kept telling me we could cover it up with make up for the wedding. Lost two teeth and am afraid I have damaged my eye that I had surgery on.  Am going back to OKC to the eye doctor in the next few weeks and find out.

Because of the fall and being in the hospital, I missed Tiff's wedding shower which made me so sad.  She had an awesome shower and received so many gifts.  She and Adam are truly blessed.

The week before the wedding Kaycee was in the hospital with her breathing problems.  We are grateful she didn't progress into pneumonia this time.

So, it's been crazy around here.

Hopefully, you'll be hearing from me more often.

Enjoy!

Judy

  4. Oh Judy about the fall. I am so glad you did not break bones. I am sure you were in a lot of pain with that kind of a fall. So sorry just glad you are doing better. Love the little squirrels and that the girls can sit and watch them play. I love the dining room with the whites!!! So happy the wedding was a beautiful day for all of you. John was smiling down on all of you. He was there all around you surrounding you with love. What a beautiful tribute for Tiff to get married on his birthday. I love that! We just got a new puppy! Yep a puppy! I have lost my mind. I said no more for me too and guess what I am a sucker and now adopted a rescue puppy. He is adorable and I am so glad I did it. The house just did not feel right for a long time with no fur baby. Happy October. Missed you and your posts glad you are back.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  8. Oh my gosh, Judy...I am so sorry to hear about your fall and you being sick. Terrible that you lost two teeth and might've damaged your eye. On the happy side, I'm glad the wedding went well and was lovely (our anniversary is Sept 15th, too!) - and your fall decorating is beautiful! Take good care of yourself...thinking of you. xoxo

  9. I am so happy to see you back and anxious to see photos of Tiff's wedding. I cried when I saw that lovely bride honoring her beloved grandfather at his gravesite. Your decorations are lovely and I especially love the morning glories. I have them too, but for some reason they don't bloom. So sorry to read about your fall. What a scary event! I am sure the dentist can put in new ones. I hope your eye problem is not a serious one. Sending you much love and hugs my dear friend! Take care!!!

  10. So sorry to hear about your illness and fall and injuries. So scary. I'm glad you made it to the wedding as you worked so hard on it and making things for it. I'm looking forward to your pictures. I hope the eye injury is not too serious and can be healed or mended... same with your shoulder. You've sure had your share of mishaps and "downs".... 2018 for me has not been a good year either health-wise,, but am trying to hang in there. I read your blog always... don't comment often, but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs.. Marilyn
