Greetings on this beautiful May Sunday morning!
I found this birdhouse at the Flea Market yesterday. Isn't it cute. It is over 3' wide. I think it will probably have to go out by the Coca Cola machine. After all, it's red.
I will have to do something about the holes in it because it is merely for looks and has no way to be cleaned out. So, as many birds as we have, I'm sure the hotel would be full immediately.
Anyone have any suggestions to block the holes????
Now to some more news.....
Kris of JunkChicCottage won the giveaway of Plaster Paint.
Congratulations to Kris.
Kris, send me your address and I'll get your paint in the mail and we'll be anxious to see what you do with it.
Have a very blessed day!
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
PS The birdhouse says on the roof: Bird Seed 10cents a scoop!
I love the birdhouse. I do not know what to tell you about covering the holes. I would alter itly and it would look completely different if it was mine. But that is my style.
ReplyDeleteI can not wait to see what you do with it for your style. I am sure it will be amazing.
It's adorable! I'm not good at solutions but some screen tucked inside maybe? Congrats to Kris! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteJudy stuff it full of newspaper to almost where the holes are at then fill with the spray foam the rest of the way, you can painte over the foam maybe black so unless you are close it will just look dark inside.
ReplyDeletelove the birdhouse, stay safe up there in this stormy weather the next couple of days. Just heard you could get about 3 inches of rain up in T town

How about corks in the holes? It sure is cute. Hope you get no destructive weather at your home. Mary in Dallas
ReplyDeleteVery cute birdhouse. I don't have any suggestions for filling the holes.
ReplyDeleteI adore your new bird house. I sometimes fill the holes of my non-bird bird houses with screen that I tack on the front.
ReplyDeleteFun birdhouse! Maybe you could add a door on the back side for cleaning it out.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Kris!
That's a gorgeous birdhouse...sigh.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner.

I was going to suggest corks but I see that's been done. I can tell you are working on Christmas. I've been on Pinterest ;) J
ReplyDeleteHow about plugging the holes with wooden spools. Like old thread spools? Not sure if they would fit, but that might work.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Khris on her win!

What a cute birdhouse, Judy! I want to get one to put out front here, but I want a way to raise it up either on a thick dowel or hanging from a shepherd's hook. Speaking of dowel, you might be able to cut some pieces of dowel to fit in those holes and paint them black {so they just look like holes and not pieces of wood}.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the cutest bird houses I've seen. Stuff the holes with ball moss.
