Saturday Treasures 11-16-2013

Didn't make it to the Tulsa Flea Market this week - John wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home with him.  One day this week, I did drop in on an Estate Sale and found these goodies.
I got an old fashioned spice rack complete with spices (I wonder how old they are - LOL), a beautiful white and red crocheted frilly doily, a cute little creamer, two precious little yellow ceramic ducks, a salt cellar, an oil painting and some crystal.
This is the piece I was calling a salt cellar.  Don't know what else it would be - any ideas?????  It's a gorgeous shade of pale aqua - really pretty.
This compote I believe is Ruby Red.  I have quite a few pieces of it.
My aunt collected it and when she passed away, my uncle divided it up amongst us four girls.
Look at this gorgeous original oil painting.  I cannot wait to get it framed.
This was my real find.  A beautiful set of crystal.  I got eight of the three sizes of glasses and the sugar and creamer.
Here are some more detailed pics of the crystal.  It looks pink - dummy me photographed it against red. Duh!!
Does anyone know the name of this pattern??
The trees are beautiful in color but not so much the hydrangea bush.....
If any of you received a spam email from me, my computer was hacked into yesterday.  The techs think they have the problem solved.  Sorry!
Till next time, Judy

  1. Hi Judy! Oh, what wonderful things! I love your crystal and the salt cellar thingy is so pretty and it looks vintage! Wish I lived close by - I'd go with you! ;)
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  2. Nice finds! I particularly like that painting!! What a stroke of luck!

  3. I LOVE that painting!!!

Wasn't sure if you would be able to get the email on the suspected hack job. Glad you got it figured out!

  4. Judy,

I think, no, I'm SURE, that this is positively THE most precious collection of Saturday treasures you discovered!! From the sweet colours and texture of the salt cellar, to the beautiful brush strokes of the painting, your trip proved fruitful! Enjoy them, sweetie!

  5. I'm glad you got to go to an estate sale...looks like a good one, too. I love the delicate crystal! So pretty. I don't know the patterns of anything. I just know if I like something! Hope your hubby feels better today. Sweet hugs to you both!

  6. Love the oil painting and the salt cellar (or, whatever it is!). Great finds. :-)

  7. Did get email but since it was typed in capitals I knew it wasn't from you so I deleted it.

I love the oil painting. Very well painted. Great estate finds.

You can only call yourself wonderful and kind and generous and a friend.

  8. You really found some great items at the Estate Sale! Love the crystal! That painting is a great find also. Hope John is feeling better!

  9. Looks like you really hit the jackpot!

I think that is an ice bucket. It looks large to be a salt cellar. But I could be wrong. It is just darling.

And if that ruby glass is Val St. Lambert, it is worth quite a bit.

Love your oil painting. The colors are luscious!

You did great at this sale.

Hope hubby gets to feeling better.

  10. Nice finds - especially the crystal. Sorry don't know the pattern. I did get an email, but it looked "different" so did not open and immediately deleted.
Hope you husband is feeling better.

  11. I LOVE that oil painting! I would hang that in a minute! Great job, as usual! Hope John is feeling better.

  12. My favorite is the salt cellar, but I am so fond of aqua.

  13. Nice finds, Judy!
I'm hoping that you are going to make some Christmas pillows, table runner and such for your etsy shop as I still have my giveaway money to use! (colors, red & white!) LOL!

  14. Judy, I love your treasure. The painting is my favorite thing. Love it...once you frame it , please show it again. xoxo,Susie

  15. Hi Judy, I think your salt cellar is a gorgeous ice bucket. I pick up ice buckets here and there and this one is really fine. The oil painting is beautiful. xo, olive

  16. Love the painting! Can't wait to see it framed.

  17. That is a beautiful biscuit barrel! (a cookie jar) :-) I love it!

  18. I think the aqua lidded thing is a cookie jar.. are you putting it in your Etsy shop? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  19. The painting and the salt cellar are my faves, great job!

  20. I've generally seen a salt cellar to be a tiny dish for individual settings at the table - I have seen things similar to yours and they were ice buckets - and sometimes cracker barrels. Whatever they are - this one is darling.

  21. Hi - I got a message from you but I knew it was a hack and deleted it right away. They spelled your name all in CAPS and your e-mails don't come that way!

I love your crystal...don't know the pattern but I am finding myself drawn to delicate etched crystal these days. J

  22. You find the BEST stuff!!!! My husband calls my collections 'debris!'
That paining is beautiful and is my favorite of your finds!
