Saturday Treasures 11-16-2013

Didn't make it to the Tulsa Flea Market this week - John wasn't feeling well, so I stayed home with him.  One day this week, I did drop in on an Estate Sale and found these goodies.

I got an old fashioned spice rack complete with spices (I wonder how old they are - LOL), a beautiful white and red crocheted frilly doily, a cute little creamer, two precious little yellow ceramic ducks, a salt cellar, an oil painting and some crystal.

This is the piece I was calling a salt cellar.  Don't know what else it would be - any ideas?????  It's a gorgeous shade of pale aqua - really pretty.

This compote I believe is Ruby Red.  I have quite a few pieces of it.

My aunt collected it and when she passed away, my uncle divided it up amongst us four girls.

Look at this gorgeous original oil painting.  I cannot wait to get it framed.

This was my real find.  A beautiful set of crystal.  I got eight of the three sizes of glasses and the sugar and creamer.

Here are some more detailed pics of the crystal.  It looks pink - dummy me photographed it against red. Duh!!

Does anyone know the name of this pattern??

The trees are beautiful in color but not so much the hydrangea bush.....

If any of you received a spam email from me, my computer was hacked into yesterday.  The techs think they have the problem solved.  Sorry!

Enjoy!

Till next time, Judy

  7. Did get email but since it was typed in capitals I knew it wasn't from you so I deleted it.

  9. Looks like you really hit the jackpot!

I think that is an ice bucket. It looks large to be a salt cellar. But I could be wrong. It is just darling.

And if that ruby glass is Val St. Lambert, it is worth quite a bit.

Love your oil painting. The colors are luscious!

You did great at this sale.

Hope hubby gets to feeling better.

  20. I've generally seen a salt cellar to be a tiny dish for individual settings at the table - I have seen things similar to yours and they were ice buckets - and sometimes cracker barrels. Whatever they are - this one is darling.

  21. Hi - I got a message from you but I knew it was a hack and deleted it right away. They spelled your name all in CAPS and your e-mails don't come that way!

I love your crystal...don't know the pattern but I am finding myself drawn to delicate etched crystal these days. J
