Yoo Hoo!! Went to the Tulsa Flea Market this morning and it was cram packed full of vendors. That just makes my heart race (isn't that crazy?).
My finds this week were:
a gorgeous array of vintage lace,
a cute pair of s&p doggy shakers,
a Hallmark Noah's Ark Christmas ornament, a pretty piece of white china - don't know what it is, the lady said a letter holder?????,
a really nice brown Transferware gravy boat marked "Iona Wm. Adam Tunst, England",
a beautiful Victorian velvet pincushion,
and this gorgeous set of 4 place settings of china. It is marked "Maruhon ware Handpainted in Japan".
There were four plates, four cups and saucers, sugar bowl, creamer and these two little bowl-like dishes the creamer is sitting in. They are going in my china cabinet.
So, I'm a happy camper. Amazing what little it takes to excite me at this stage of my life. LOL
Enjoy!
Till next time, Judy
I am loving the transferware gravy boat! and look at all that lace.
ReplyDeleteThe china is absolutely gorgeous! And what a pretty velvet pincushion! You did great AND had fun! I love shopping for vintage treasures. Enjoy your afternoon my friend!
ReplyDeletewow, Judy, you found some great things. Brown transferware is always worth the trip!!
ReplyDeleteThe Victorian pin cushion is a wonderful 'already made' treasure. Would be fairly time consuming to make one look like that and so much careful work too. Love all your finds. Lots of lace for your own creations too. Hi and hugs to John.

Fun finds! Shopping in "new" stores does nothing for me, but set me loose in a vintage shop or flea market and my heart starts racing, too! You never know what treasures await you.
ReplyDeleteOoh! Brown transferware...definitely worth the trip! As long as you enjoy what you're doing...go for it!
ReplyDeleteXO,

Ooooh vintage lace...I love it. And that gravy boat! I've suddenly become enamoured of transferware. Pinning it on my boards. Looking for it in second hand stores. Can't believe that a few years ago, I thought it looked old fashioned and fussy. I don't know if seeing it on all the blogs has changed my opinion or maybe it's just my age, ha! J
ReplyDeleteYou really scored! The pincushion is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds! I LOVE the china with the blue designs:) Enjoy your day dear friend, BIG HUGS!
