A Day With Laynee & Bella

We had some beautiful weather last week and Laynee came over one day to play.  We went to the park and fed the ducks and then came home to play in the back yard.

She wanted to have a Tea Party in the back yard.  So, first she pulled up all of the plates I had used in my flowerbed around my tree (with my permission) and proceeded to lay them all out on the old patio table - which I use to spray paint on as you can tell.

In the first photo, she took a flower pot and proceeded to go out and pick up pine cones under the big Pine tree in the yard.  She came back and carefully placed the pine cones on the plates and was ready for a Tea Party!  Oh, the imagination of youngsters!

But, it worked.

When Laynee is here and we are outside, Bella insists on getting out all of her toys and bones and bringing them outside.  She had played ball quite a while and decided to rest - so did Laynee.  She thinks she needs to do whatever Bella does.  They are so much fun together.

Enjoy!

Judy

  2. Such sweet photographs. Laynee is a cutie! While you and Laynee were having a tea party, it looks like Bella was having a toy party.

  4. What a lucky grandma you are to have such a beautiful little girl. Looks like Bella is enjoying her playmate. Waldo has to take out his toys when we go out on the patio. I had to gathered them all up and put them in the washing machine and mend a few. He will go to his basket and he knows what one he wants for that day. Aren't they amazing.
Enjoy your time with Laynee. How are the twins doing?

  6. What a sweet story. So funny that Laynee used all your dishes that you had in your flower beds. I can see you saying it was okay. She and Bella seems like real buddies. Laynee is adorable. Being outside to play right now seems a little foreign to me. We are just trying to stay on our feet getting to and from in all the ice. Enjoy every minute with those two.

  11. Laynee and Bella are two sweet girls to have to play with.. When my daughter was about Laynee's age, she would use the big chunks of pine bark to play "tea party" with my Mom.. Leaves were lettuce and muddy water was hot chocolate..
I'm glad you've had some nice weather.. It's pretty here in Va. today but a little too chilly for my liking..
    Enjoy !

  13. Your Laynee is just adorable! I'm glad she came to visit and that you spent precious time with her. I'm sure having her around helps cheer you up. I can't believe that you had nice enough weather where you could be outside, too - I'm jealous!

  15. They are both so cute, Judy! I love that last picture. She is a real cutie, your Laynee. My granddaughter has been wanting to dress up in my dressy dresses lately when she comes over. Today we ordered her a tiara off Etsy to go with her Queenly attire. Unfortunately, I have no royal title in these games. : )

  16. SO sweet! And I imagine that pine cones are much less fattening than the cookies we eat at our tea parties lol!
