Update and Progress

Well, Tiffany and I proceeded to paint the Master Bed Room last week and after painting one room, I decided to call the painter and have him give me a bid for the rest of the house.

Here's the progress this week....

Den,

Guest Bedroom and

Master Bed Room are all a very pale buttery yellow with white trim.

Drawers and

Doors and

all trim in a clean white.

Living Room,

Dining Room and one bedroom all painted in this pretty SW Practical Beige with white trim.

The garage is packed with newly acquired pieces of furniture, ceiling fans, etc.

This vintage piece (LOVE) I purchase off of Craigs List

as well as this blue piece.  The round table is for a nightstand in the MBR. It is Drexel - all wood. That is what I love about finding most old vintage pieces - they are all wood.

This pretty piece I found at an Estate Sale.  But, I waited until it went down to 75% off before I purchased it.  Again, an older piece that is so solid.

This will be the vanity in my tiny Master Bath.  I found this at the Flea Market last Saturday.  It had been completely refinished and is in wonderful shape.

This Baker's Rack I already owned.  Hoping I can use it in the hall bath.  The DR chairs are in the background.  Needless to say, I will be redoing all of the seats.

My LR and DR will be done in the tans and a light teal blue.  The guest bedroom (pale yellow) will be done with a red toile print.  The rest is all up in the air until I make some decisions.

My precious little "Tinkerbells" yesterday after I picked them up.  They are so much fun.

Have been having some computer problems and a total lack of free time lately so will try to post more often.  Some days, I wonder if this was a sane idea to move after being in a home for 48 years.  But then, I've never been known for doing the logical thing.  LOL

Enjoy!

Judy

  1. I have no idea if it is a logical thing to do or not, but it seems as though you are enjoying it, so that cannot be a bad thing can it!! xx

  4. I would have probably hired a painter in the beginning. LOL I am not a painter and never will be. Like your choice of colors.

  20. I don't blame you one bit for hiring out to get your house painted - that is a ton of work! And it's looking so good. I love the colors you chose. That red buffet is to die for - great score. Love the other furniture, too. You will love the dresser as your bathroom vanity. My mom did that in her half bath and it looks fantastic. Your great-grands are so adorable!
