Saturday Treasures 1/11/2017

Last Saturday I went to the Flea Market and one Estate Sale.  These are my treasures!!

Don't mind telling you that my heart skipped a beat when I saw this set of Mason dishes.

They are Mason's Patent Ironstone in the Watteau pattern made in England.  I couldn't help but think of my good friend Joy at Vintage Green.  I know how she loves Mason dishes.  I need to find four more cups, and the sugar and creamer.  The pieces in the bottom left corner are big soup bowls.

GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!!!

Love these small pieces and they look like they are a set, but the little saucer is from England and the S&P shakers are Dutch.

Sweet little planter.

Love this lattice bowl with the ceramic cherries,

But, do you ever see something and it just makes you so happy?

Well, this put a smile on my face.  A bag full of vintage, handmade lace and trim.  Can't wait to use it on pillows for Mother's Day!!

Have a lot going on here.  We were in single digits last week and today my car registered 80 degrees.  The last two days I've had a crew working on my deck and pergola for the sliding doors off of my bedroom.  So, will have some photos soon to show to you.  We are suppose to have anywhere from 3-5" of ice this weekend, so I'm hoping they get finished before that hits.  Otherwise, it'll be a while before it is finished.

Have a great week!

Judy

    1. Thanks Diana. That set of dishes are one that I will more than likely keep. It's a large enough set that I can really use them.

We have had freezing rain for two days so I am homebound. I really don't like it either! LOL

  2. You are so right Judy, I loved seeing your Mason's Watteau dishes, love red transferware. My love of Mason's started with their red Vista transferware. Great, always, finds, love seeing what you bring home. Hope that the sliding door happens before the next icy/cold weather. Hugs.

    1. I instantly thought of you when I saw those dishes. I got the whole set which has service for 8 for $92.00. I was thrilled. They got the deck and pergola built but don't have the steps finished yet. It started two days ago with freezing rain and it is miserable. But, as long as I get it finished before Spring, I'll be happy!

      Have a great week ahead.

    1. We had a high of 80 degrees on Wednesday and have had the last two days full of freezing rain. YUCK!! I'm ready for Spring. I'm staying home this weekend also. Haven't been out in two days. That's very unusual for me!

      Have a good week.

    1. Thanks Linda. They got the deck and pergola done but had to stop working on the steps because of the change in weather. It was 80 degrees on Wednesday and since then, we've had nothing but freezing rain.

      Thanks for visiting.

  6. So excited for your weekend finds! What are you going to do with the set of transferware, sell on your Etsy shop?
Your new deck and pergola off your bedroom sounds fabulous, Judy! I have wanted to do that off my master bedroom for 20-odd years. I am running out of time.......

    1. I am keeping the set of transferware for me!! I pretty much had to do something with that sliding glass door exit because the first step was too deep and I had almost fallen a couple of times. It was one of the first things I noticed that I knew had to be changed after I moved it. It is hard to believe that I have been here almost a year. Time really flies - whether we want it to or not, right?

      Have a good week.

  7. I love all of your treasures... where in the world do you put all these wonderful lovelies that you find at the flea markets and estate sales? I just don't have room for anything new or a set of dishes. Those Mason dishes are beautiful. My heart would most definitely skip a beat if I found a bag of such pretty vintage laces.. love the darker colors. They just can't be replicated. Your weather sounds crazy.. we've had lots of single digits at night and below zeros also.. and right now have 2 feet of snow here in central Oregon! It's the worst year, they say, in this area, for over 20 years. I'm ready for it to be gone!

    1. Thanks Marilyn. I am so fortunate and blessed that I have a workroom in my new home that is 20' x 30' with one whole wall of cabinets. And, needless to say, I have it crammed full. I am planning on starting to sell alot of my dishes in the Spring on my Etsy shop. We have had 2 days of freezing rain so I haven't been out at all - which is very unusual for me. LOL

      Have a great week.

Be careful on the ice. We are getting lots of rain and I am loving it.

    1. Hi Mary! We have had two full days of freezing rain so Bella and I have been in hibernation! It's just too risky to go outside let alone, drive anywhere.

      Have a great week!

    1. Thanks Linda. It's kind of sad when you get so excited over a bag of lace! LOL But, it's one of my many obsessions.

    1. Hi Dorothy and thanks for dropping by. All of those treasures were bought on a 50% off day at the estate sale. I haven't been out in two days because of the freezing rain. Not worth the chance of getting hurt.

      Have a great week.
