Happy Easter Week!

It seems almost impossible that this is the week of Easter.  This is undoubtedly the strangest month I have ever gone thru.  It just seems like a bad dream.  One I'm sure we will wake up for and I know I will certainly appreciate a lot of things and people I have taken for granted.  Blessed Easter greetings to you all.

Have my bunny ears out in the front flowerbed.

The bunny banner is hung.

The flowerbeds are certainly greening up.

But, it will definitely be weird being home alone for Easter.  Tiff and the girls are doing great.  The little ones have not been out since this started and Tiff left her job to stay home with them and protect them.

I have been going thru "stuff" and found things I didn't even remember having - like this little washboard and hosiery washer.

Isn't this interesting?

I have had entirely too much time on my hands and am thinking about when life gets back to the new normal, I have an idea for a project.

My workroom is rather large on the back of the house.

I have this large three sided desk with my computer, printer and sewing machines on it.

Behind the louvered doors are my washer and dryer.

Soooooo.... I am contemplating walling in part of it from the kitchen and making a large pantry.  It would have shelves on three sides and my freezer and cabinets on the other with a door going into my craft room.

Like I said, too much time to think.  LOL

Everyone stay safe and well.  I am pretty much hibernating at home.  I am getting ready to start making bands to go across the back of the head with buttons on each side for my granddaughters who are nurses to use with their masks they must wear.  The elastic bands hook over the buttons to save wear and tear on the ears.  Kinda hard to explain but hopefully you get the picture.

Enjoy!

Judy

  1. Hi Judy - good idea for the button/bands for the mask elastics to relieve the ear pressure. Keep on keeping safe. Hugs and Love to all your family.

  2. Yes, it is so hard to be separated from family but it is good to know they are safe (and so are we). It is good to see the beginnings of Spring up here in Illinois - gives us hope and things to look forward to... Happy Easter, Judy! Thanks for posting!

  3. I am feeling very down lately. This Easter will obviously just be me and Brian. I'm still going to make a ham and some sides, but it will be weird not to have our son here (he's now in CA) and my mom and my aunt not being able to be here. Stay well and safe, Judy!

  4. Love that you are making the buttons for the masks. That would be so much more comfortable with how much they have to wear them. It was fun to see you did a post today. Miss your posts. I think all your ideas sound wonderful. Glad you are staying home and safe. We both have family on the front lines of this and I am praying they stay well. Hopefully by May we may see a little bit of good news on our shelter at home is working. Stay safe sweet friend. xoxo Kris

  7. I have been hibernating too except for short trips to the grocery store and not very often. I try to buy two or three weeks of groceries when I go. It has been a rough time but SO thankful that we are well, as is our family! I have seen those bands with the buttons, more comfortable for the ears. Have a blessed day and Easter Sunday dear friend, HUGS!
